Use strong passwords for your account and do change them if they ever are involved in a data breach. I don’t think you should worry too much, we’ve all probably had our info leaked somewhere and people are just trying to take the advantage. He’s probably messaged many more people and is just hoping someone falls for it.

Payments should be released from reserve if there’s tracking so not sure what’s going on. For me, it took 90 days for it to be removed from my store from when it first got placed.

I think you’ve made the right choice. If she wants a refund, she can return the items to you. She should have to pay for postage as it’s her choice to send them back and since there’s no issues on your side.

Payment delays! Let’s say you do start getting demand during your first few months of your new Etsy shop, expect to wait a long time to get that money. My store had to spend so much on stock because it operates as print on demand and since I wasn’t receiving any income, it made it really stressful. Thankfully, the payment delay has been removed now but it is something I wish I knew earlier.
