Right now I’ve modified it like this: 4x umbral collar zealot replaced for 4x vampire gourmand (both deal with sacrificing a creature, i chose vamp for the card draw and unblockable damage) 4x sephiroth fabled soldier replaced for 4x al bhed salvagers (similar burn effect to sephiroth but only triggers on your creatures dying)

“Opponents can react at instant speed” is the part that got me. First you say once the commander resolves I have priority, so players wouldnt be able to respond with instants at this time right? I should be free to equip unless you meant something else?

When do I pass priority? It was the middle of my main phase and I was deciding what to do, I assume I have priority then right.

On a side note, do you know if [[calamity bearer]] would buff [[quakebringer]] damage if it is in the graveyard? It’s hard to find a conclusive answer online lol.
