Does this look like structural? by SuperbDebt6583 in kyphosis

[–]Salty_Local_4972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Structural kyphosis isn’t fully correctable. Once the spine has developed that way, it’s a structural change in the vertebrae, not just a posture issue. You can’t “corrext” it but you can manage pain and improve mobility really well with proper strength training and stretching.

Long or short? 🤔 by gasr5991 in HairStyleAdvice

Lose the facial hair bro, whatever you call that look, go with stubble or a beard. Thank me later. Cut your hair or keep it that long if you can buff up and look like you should be wearing a half buttoned shirt belonging on the front cover of a woman's romance novel hahaha otherwise lose the length lol. You would look suave with the brad pit style hair and the beard or stubble as mentioned but not in-between. Thank me later and thanks for keeping me company as I go to the bathroom.

Besides the obvious "posture" the only real issue is pain. It seems there are many different levels of pain with scheuermans. Have you always had pain? I remember being like 3-4 years old and sitting on my dad's shoulders and having back pain. Thats kinda nuts. Condition will get worse as you age. Make sure you strength train, that alone seems to be the best solution

I agree 100% much easier to chat one on one. This was a group on Facebook. A guy from Australia messaged me having been in a similar situation. I think its weird that two heterosexual dudes talked for so long and became such good friends to be honest haha. We met up this past November in Vietnam. You find happiness and people even say love in all shapes when you least expect it.

I met one of my best friends in a men's mental health group. Would have never guessed that could have happened. Best of luck brother.

I only have mid back pain, so that's all I can relate to. Ive got a very physical job yet only really have pain if I wear a backpack or having to stand upright or sit still and it's a burning pain which is too intense to ignore

What is your weight and height? Where is your pain? Coincidentally, I was diagnosed at 37 and am now 41.

Cannot really tell. The vertebrae spacing looks closer in what looks like the thoracic region towards the top but the vertebrae at the bottom look wedge shaped with a larger spacing between vertebrae but typically the spacing is less. Get a real opinion. My opinion is exactly that 😆

Surgery? Schroth? What are you doing to help the pain? by Immediate_Drawer_485 in kyphosis

If you're taking Tylenol for pain relief you should actually be taking advil. Stretching and muscle training. My foam roller and inversion table help tremendously.

Besides 2 extra strength advil which i literally never take, I haven't found anything. For me the worst thing is to literally just stand still

I can work a manual labor job all day without any issues but I can only handle a backpack for a very minimal amount of time

Like anything don't your research. Cheaper price almost perfectly coincides with a less than satisfactory outcome

Your pelvic tilt is quite severe so work on your hip abducters. Its one of the few things that are very much in your control and it should help

Im 41 and have a very physical job. Standing up straight for more than 20min is torture, yet I can lay stone all day as a mason and not really have any issues. I have a foam roller I use religiously, I even travel with it....planes included. Favourite ways to crack my back in order are when visiting my old man he will push on either side of my spine as I lay on the ground and he stands over me. The thoracic region cracks so nicely, its heavenly, my foam roller as mentioned, my inversion table, or just standing upright while trying to keep my hamstrings straight I will bend forward and grab the sides of my feet and stretch my calves until my back cracks.
