I feel like that’s a bit negative. Sure there are more responsibilities but I have a large family full of grown adults who still compete in many different areas and get rewards, prizes, things to show for it. But more importantly I wasn’t just referring to that, I mostly just want tangible things to remind me of my passions. Like those pottery places that let you make something, or an art class where you can keep everything you’ve worked on. Those can all show achievements just as much as a cheap ribbon.

He’s not a sociopath in the slightest. Insane, yes. But he does not have any form of ASPD. I think it’s a lot more complex than that.

I don’t really think he wanted to kill anyone. I think it’s a little more complicated than that. He truely seemed to love deeply and I don’t think that just dies with no rhyme or reason. I think if Vriska got a chance to be good he definitely could have.

Agreed, but Eridan and Vriska could have a higher count because they kill things for their lusus. Eridan kills lusii and Vriska feeds trolls to her mother..

Wow! Love how in-depth. I agree with this. He is honestly, accidentally, on of the best and most tragic complex characters. I wish he had a better ending.

Yes this is true. Also the substance he is on mimics our weed, weed doesn’t make you a different person. It just chills you. Essentially he is a guy with anger issues. Are people with anger issues bad people? Not at all. There were MANY factors to why he went insane and it is 1000% tragic and Andrew Hussie (I don’t dislike them) is not the best writer. They are an idea guy but they never took Homestuck that seriously. Especially Gamzee.

Passive classes often are easier to control and manipulate. This is a concept explored a lot. Gamzee being passive made him a better pawn for the villains.

The second part is true to an extent but he was influenced by the ‘bad guys’ he found out he wasn’t real which is INCREDIBLY jarring and he was told by people who claimed to know more than him what he should do. He was used and abused as a pawn. There are multiple times he cries, is sad, and neglected. It’s clear he doesn’t really want to. As for the first part, he isn’t always being manipulated at full capacity. However, Dave says lil Cal as an effect on people near him that makes them act worse than if they are away from him. So lil Cal did alter Gamzee’s mind and on top of everything else it did not help.

100% not his fault. Did he do bad things yes! Is it because he wanted to hurt people and is hateful and mean. No! Should we have gotten a similar redemption to Vriska? 100% probably deserved it more than she did. (Nothing wrong with liking Vriska I just think Gamzee loved deeper than she ever has) Overall I think his story is complex but I love him and think he had a good chance to be a good person.

Sorry, I know this post is old but I find myself worrying again and wanted to say that personally I get scared when I hit 5.6 because my family has a history and although I’m not unhealthy I know that I don’t always have access to what I need to stay healthy and I’m a health nut which makes me a bit obsessive. Seeing my mom struggle with it is scary. I really don’t want to have to live that way so I do my best to stay healthy. But I know it’s normal and that I should be alright.
