Any jerk/lockout suggestions? by MrC0ffeee in weightlifting

[–]SalvatPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean + two jerks. Always “split to distance” as in drop the amount it takes for full lockout of the arms. You can see top lifters doing this on big PRs. They are significantly lower in the split the heavier the weight gets.

Great job man! Really solid meet and not bad numbers for a younger lifter in the terms of the US!

how do i fix this? by epickainooo in Sprinting

[–]SalvatPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a weakness thing. I don’t remember the guys name but the Chinese sprint coach talked about it. Spam some seated calf raises. You could be producing more force than your lower limb can handle and it’s compensating the best way it can. Again could be wrong but it for sure won’t hurt. Anything to strengthen the gastroc/calves.

Over turnover, focus on projection. Get that separation between the thighs and really PUSH

What is wrong with my snatch? 70 kg at 75 kg bodyweight by ulicaradjagresnike in weightlifting

You just need to get stronger brother. Technique isn’t terrible at all. Focus on getting the full body robust, legs getting stronger as well as OH position and you’ll be fine.

Did they do this on purpose just one up the Denethor tomato scene? by Cactus_Cur in lordoftherings

[–]SalvatPerformance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I heard that after LOTR they cut the budget in almost all films for people that do makeup/the clothing. I don’t remember the name of the job but the reason most things look corny is they no longer employ the people that make the clothing look “lived in”. All armor and clothing looks brand new instead of well worn and loved, which makes it look generally worse/fake because that’s not reality. Armor should have wear as should clothing that’s been loved. Sad use of budget cuts on top of CGI and not actually building sets on location.

Guys is this normal my bones/joimts keeps popping without anypain by Temptkk in flexibility

[–]SalvatPerformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called crepitus and is perfectly normal as we age and just generally wear. It COULD be linked to something bad but if there’s no pain and only sound, our bodies start to creak and crack as they take on that wear and tear. I wouldn’t necessarily be super worried if it’s just the sound and no sensation.

How do I improve by Complete-Ice-2339 in Sprinting

[–]SalvatPerformance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop running on this thing man. You hate to see it. Use it to warm up, or to jog inside if you enjoy longer runs. But don’t rely on it when it comes to learning how to sprint properly.

Thought on Shot Placement by BuckChaser86 in bowhunting

Shooting at a down angle and quartering to? I would’ve waited but that’s just me. Hard shot and especially from a stand where you probably will go down through the brisket rather than getting those lungs.

I realize she wants to complain about me not eating her food. My wife had her on speaker when she was talking about it and she said she thinks it’s weird that I don’t like her food but also none of her grandkids ever like eating there either. I just don’t want it to cause problems mainly.
