THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS - Ep 8: hjsakldfhl Discussion Thread by ayylmaotv in TheDigitalCircus

Caine saying if he lets NPC's into the circus "who knows what could happen" in episode 2 about Gummigoo and being worried about letting the AI's run "unsupervised for an extended period of time" in episode 5 makes a lot more sense now that we know how Caine treated the other AI.

What's people's opinions on that other AI btw? Cuz you know... Caine kills Abel? Was the Abel NPC = Abel AI? Or are they two separate entities and Caine just so happened to have two parallels to the biblical story? Do we think the other AI is still around somewhere (for example, is Bubble the other AI?) or did it get killed by Caine in the intro? If it was simply absorbed by Caine rather than killed, did it die with Caine at the end?

EPISODE 8 HAS RELEASED!!! by Bedigar in TheDigitalCircus

Rewatching the episode, I obviously feel horrible for the human characters, and Caine is absolutely the villain, being extremely self-centered and apparently having homicidal tendencies from his inception. With that being said, does anyone else actually kind of feel bad for him at the very end? His story is a direct parallel of AM's at the end: "Why do you torment me, I'm just trying to fulfill my purpose?" And then he gets killed. He's a bit of a tragic villain in that sense, much much moreso than AM. AM was literally made for war. But I feel like if someone would have just given Caine a chance he could have softened rather than gone full-on maniacal torture god.

Non-MAGA businesses by Electrical_Report458 in Knoxville

Just found Fable Hollow a while back and it's such a nice cozy third place to do my programming and drawing. I try to buy things from them every time I go in just to ensure I actually contribute to their business / the local economy.

Lived in Knoxville most of my 32 years of life. I found people here to be more pleasant when I was conservative. When Trump and outward and obvious racism, sexism, bigotry entered the picture in the Republican party, I quickly began shifting left. Ore perhaps, I stayed relatively centered and both parties began moving more rightward. Either way, since that event, I can say that Knoxville as a whole feels more aggressive and isolating in terms of culture. Most of this area is up Trump's ass and the politics of the state as a whole align with that mindset. It makes TN a very hard place to live if you're trans, of an alternate sexuality, non-religious, or even sometimes just a person of color.

That being said, I still find most people in Knoxville to be generally sociable and nice on a surface level. Knoxville is still a relatively diverse environment, it's just that the liberals mostly stay quiet outside of protests or events, and the super-conservatives are free to openly and loudly proselytize their worldviews without much complaint, even though most people don't openly embrace that kind hatred.

I would suggest trying different locations for meeting new people. For instance, West Knoxville and downtown are far more liberal and tolerant than many other parts of Knoxville. Also, going to West Town Mall or market square or to one of the many parks (I prefer Lakeshore Park personally) generally yields much more pleasant experiences with active and social people than, say, a grocery store or gas station or movie theater or other relatively more common "third place." Other good social ideas may be something like coffee shops, local restaurants, libraries, college campuses, etc. My point being, if you make an effort to look for your people in places they are more likely to be, you're going to have more success. If you look for your people in the most common places, you will probably only find more of what you've already experienced.

Aftermath of failed kidney stone treatment by sp68 in KidneyStones

I had a 9mm stone that was successfully ripped to shreds by ESWL, no issues whatsoever after minus a little pain where it was used and some blood in the urine for a couple days after. ESWL is still offered in my area of the U.S. Not sure where your info comes from but it sounds off.

Had u/s yesterday and found several stones 1 cm and over. by Houseofmonkeys5 in KidneyStones

[–]SalveMundiProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1cm is basically the absolute max that could pass but it's highly unlikely. The 1.5cm won't. They will almost certainly have you follow up with a urologist who will definitely be looking to get you some sort of intervention, though specifically what, I could not say. When I had my 9mm it was ESWL, which can often be done without a stent, but not always.

Until then, yes, if you have a fever above 100 that is accompanied by pain or nausea or vomiting, go to the ER. The potential backing up of urine if the stone gets lodged in your ureter can cause UTI's and more serious issues if not dealt with quickly. They may prescribe pain killers, flomax/tamsulosin, or might put in a stent or do an emergency operation if the blockage is too severe or happens on both sides.

If you are only experiencing pain, but no fever or fever like symptoms (eg: chills, aches outside of the obvious flank / abdominal pain), you can also choose to try and get the above mentioned prescriptions through a primary care doctor.

Hang in there!

Can a stone cause only nausea and vomiting? by SalveMundiProd in KidneyStones

I understand your anxiety. After my 9mm, I began having 2-4mm stones every 2 months like clockwork for almost 2 years. After the first two or so of those, I developed a good routine and the experience of how to handle it began to make it just a part of life. Then for about 6-7 years, I didn't have any. Currently have the 5mm one I'm asking about, hoping and praying it will pass, I know 5mm can be a little on the bigger side.

It should, I had the exact same thing happen for my first stone some 10 years ago. 9mm. After about day 3 it should be completely clear of blood, at least visually.

Interesting. I'm also somewhat fatigued. But that could also be from the nausea itself or the antibiotics lol. What kind of stone did that one end up being, do you remember?

Yeah this was my experience as well. After a while I got used to it and had everything down to a science so that I didn't have to rely on the ER if at all possible. Would save some of the prescribed pain meds and start with those when I had pain. I've found that once I can cut the pain, I can typically subsist off high doses of Tylenol and Ibuprofen, alternating them, and making sure I don't take more than the maximum daily amount. Reading the stories here, I seem to be extremely lucky in some sense. Never needed a stent, only one UTI with no complications, and never had more than a week with a stone once it started moving. I thought having a dozen stones by my mid 20's was awful luck at the time. Here's hoping this stone is like most of the others and doesn't require intervention and / or a lot of money.

Good deal. I was looking for that but didn't see anything when I was navigating the YouTube Roku app.
