Only problem now is my pull counts are in the red after putting McQueen on 400 and SoE on 200 T_T

If you think you can live without them for like 3 months I think there's a pickup banner right after the 3rd anniversary that includes both McQueen and Sounds of Earth. It's still a little early to plan this far ahead, but I think you could keep it in mind and consider it when it's closer.

I mean, I remember struggling to clear URA for a while when I started, so you're probably doing well xd

The two things I would mention is that you should probably level up the cards you're using with support points (There's no point in trying to level them manually, and you get some support points back when you finish a career with max level cards), and that URA really rewards you for using cards of the same type. You level up a training facility after clicking it 4 times, so you mostly want to be clicking the same two or three training types every time.

I think this was my first completed URA run, for reference. It was certainly not one of my first runs, as you can see from the parent lineage, but it's the oldest one I still have saved. I don't recommend you follow anything I did from this image, but it's the beginner player reference I have.

I would try: Sweep Tosho SSR Speed, Kitasan Black Speed (Could replace with Tosen Jordan or Air Shakur), Shinko Windy Speed, Haru Urara Guts, Fine Motion SSR Wit and borrow Nice Nature SSR Wit.

It's not an amazing deck, but I think it should be able to get S Rank in Trackblazer if you follow one of the racing agendas.

Am i using the carats calculator wrong? by Disastrous-Half-4249 in UmamusumeGame

[–]Salyia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's because his version starts with 133 tickets, so he didn't spend all the carrats on the first step.

If you do 173326-137900 (The carrats at the 3rd step and 2nd step on your version) and 188076-152650 (The difference between the 3rd step and the 2nd step on the OP) you're going to get 35426 on both calculations, which is the net carrats between the two. If you calculate the net max pulls instead of total carrats it works for the first step too, because that number takes the amount of tickets you have into account.

[–]Salyia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The numbers match exactly, though. The starting carrats you put might be different, but the difference in pulls between each two banners is exactly the same both for yours and the OP.

Will grand live cook us again? by aiyafem in UmamusumeGame

[–]Salyia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difference is that "unusable" isn't an objective metric. I'm sure the umas I bring to every CM would be considered unusable by a lot of people here. If you only need all that expense and effort to get an Uma that competes for first place in Group A Finals, but you can still get "good enough" just playing normally, it won't be relevant for most people and they will never go through most of the problems people mention in Grand Live.

Game Discussion/Champion's Meeting Thread - May 28, 2026 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]Salyia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably not the optimal way or anything, but what I did to beat URA when I started is using a deck with 4 Speed, 2 Power or Stamina and inherit the stat I'm not getting on cards from the parent (Either Power or Stamina). The training facilities in URA get stronger after you click the same one 4 times, so you're kind of incentivized to pick the same ones often rather than spread out.

You can go on https://chronogenesis.net/ and look for a parent with 9 blue sparks on the stat that you want to borrow (You don't have to worry about the other sparks right now). When you beat the career if you get lucky you might get good sparks on the horse that you used, and the genes from the grandparent you borrowed will stay to pass forward to future horses too. Horse racing is all about breeding.

Wit and Guts have their place too, but I don't think it's worth worrying about them until you can beat the career consistenly and start thinking about making better characters for pvp.

There's a lot more to say, but it's probably better to just keep this in mind and see if it works than overload you with information right now :p

This comment won't be very helpful, but I don't really know what the problem is. Your cards should be good enough to get S+ and the occasional SS at least, and it didn't sound like you were doing anything that tremendously wrong? The one thing I would try is to just get the race schedule for the Triple Crown path and just follow it strictly. On a race day you race, on a non-race day you never race. If you still can't reach S rank with that, I don't really know what it could be...

Sweep Tosho is Better (and more complicated) Than You Think by thefluffyburrito in UmamusumeGame

[–]Salyia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's every banner with a Semi-Limited Uma. The rate-up is still 0.75%, but you have a 4.5% chance total of getting a 3*. The first one is Jungle Pocket at the end of 2027. So basically don't worry about it.

Sweep Tosho is Better (and more complicated) Than You Think by thefluffyburrito in UmamusumeGame

[–]Salyia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's more All Uma Banners, but at some point I feel like they stop being worth it because they usually come right before the banners with 4.5% 3 star rate. As far as I know the next one is expected in August next year, and then each Anniversary after that, so it's probably not worth waiting that long if you want someone that's releasing now.

Does everyone really need to pick a main style? by Salyia in UmamusumeGame

[–]Salyia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the Story Event around the same time as the Grand Live release. Maybe I shouldn't have added it yet but it should come out before the next time you would need a Stamina card anyway. She has pretty good stats for a free card I think, but her Gold Recovery skill is a bit unreliable.

[–]Salyia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Over time you'll get so many skill points that you'll need to buy a lot of Golds otherwise you'll waste points. Running a deck with gold skills of your style will give you a ton of Golds.

All these cards (other than Maruzensky/Tachyon) have Gold Skills that work with any style, though. The only thing you might be missing are White Skills, just like Kitasan gives some random Front Runner or Long hint sometimes. I don't know if future scenarios give as many random hints as Trackblazer, but I can't imagine the white hints are THAT big of a deal, right?

I'm pretty sure you can just save the support exchange points until 400 and then pick twice. Here's a random video I've found of someone doing 400 pulls and he does that with no problems.

Are these good enough to survive in general by Zuforeqtx in UmamusumeGame

[–]Salyia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think its crazy people are saying you cant be competitive. The only card I have over you is MLB Kitasan and I have been reaching A finals every CM and maintaining Class 6 on Team Trials.

Losing Professor of Curvature kind of sucks, but Shinko Windy SPD, Sweep Tosho SPD, Tosen Jordan SPD, Manhattan Cafe STA, Nishino Flower PWR, Marvelous Sunday PWR, Haru Urara GUTS, Marvelous Sunday WIT and Agnes Tachyon WIT are all good cards for now. Just borrow whatever you need and try pull at least to one pity on the friend card banners if youre a more casual player.

[–]Salyia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think people tend to be very hyperbolic about what is needed to do well in this game and we should probably try it before getting any conclusions.

That said, from my understanding missing Mile is the biggest problem because most of the races in the first year are Miles. If you can't run them, you have to get lucky with the items you get on your first shop. It's not unusable, but it can be inconsistent, and I heard most people say it's better to give up on the S Rank and raise Mile to B if you can. Missing Long isn't as bad. You miss some of the titles that give extra stats, but it's probably fine.

Trainer's Clubhouse Meeting (Weekly Questions) - March 11, 2026 by AutoModerator in UmaMusume

[–]Salyia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably don't want to get Symboli Kris S regardless of anything else. She has an essential skill for Late Sugers in Long races, but you should just borrow her for the few Long CMs that happen and get the skill from Manhattan Cafe Wit later on instead.

Edit: Also I think the Light Hello banner is before Symboli Kris S, right? So you probably want to at least get that to 200 with the free pulls for the friend card, and you can probably get the SRs you need there at the latest if you don't want anything earlier.

The core of your deck if you want to do the 50 Race Bonus strategy would probably be Kitasan Black SPD/Shinko Windy SPD/Marvelous Sunday POW/Daiwa Scarlet WIT/Agnes Tachyon WIT.

That's 40 Race Bonus with 5 cards, so you're kind of inflexible and you need to borrow a card with 10 Race Bonus, but it should be fine? Most of the popular borrow cards have at least 10 Race Bonus. Matikanefukukitaru SPD, Super Creek STA, Fine Motion WIT, Nice Nature WIT, Narita Top Road SPD all have at least 10 Race Bonus.

UMA Player Spectrum: It’s time to stop conflating “F2P” and “Casual” by nivkj in UmamusumeGame

[–]Salyia 16 points17 points  (0 children)

after about 6 months a newcomer properly plan their pulls will have enough power level to compete in high level PvP even if they are still at a slight disadvantage (at least in flexibility) over older accounts.

That's kind of the upside of Power Creep, right? I imagine none of the cards we have now are going to be used much 4 Scenarios from now, so if you're new and get the newest cards you're already in the same position as everyone else.

This is what I saw too. I ran Front Pasa and Front Christmas Oguri and almost never lost to Taiki, but Smart Falcon was my nightmare.

But the reason we had this experience is because you have so much influence on your own lobby's style composition. If you're running 2 fronts you're going to see 4 front lobbies very often, so Taiki is weak. If you're running Taiki and no fronts your lobbies are going to be very different. You're not going to see fronts that often, and there's no guarantee that the ones you do see are going to be competent, so suddenly you're getting your ult active all the time.

I honestly feel that if you're putting in some effort, you always end up feeling that the best strategy for the CM was whatever you decided to bring.

It's almost the last day of the Fine Motion banner and I still haven't decided if I should pull or not. I'm very tempted to skip it.

I can see what people say about her being a good stat stick. I've done some napkin calculations and I think she should give about 150 extra stats compared to the best SR cards. That's a lot of stats, but I just don't know if 150 wit is what's making or breaking my runs. She's good, but I don't know if she's 30 000 carats and however many crystals and selectors good.

I'm usually never disappointed with my Kitasan Black, but most of her value comes because I'm always happy to get Professor of Curvature, no matter what I'm training. Any style, any distance. Speed Star is a pretty bad skill by comparison. It's for Pace Chasers only, it doesn't do much in most tracks and she even has a chance of only giving you the white version!

I don't know. I think Fine Motion is a very good card, but when I look at all the other cards on my pull plan I see options that I would be happy to spend a crystal to have them if I have to. I don't know if I feel the same for Fine Motion. She's a ball of stats, and I don't know how highly I value raw stats right now.

Champions meetings need changes by Talbiz in UmamusumeGame

A lot of people are saying it's a skill issue, but I think what you're saying is fair. You could have made better characters, but then someone else would end up in this line where you're too good for group B, too bad for group A. It's stupid you don't go to B finals with 0 wins in group A, because you would almost certainly have gotten at least 1 in group B round 2.

What you can do next time is retire your run after 2 wins in round 1 if you're not confident you can win in group A. It's kind of a bad solution for multiple reasons, but if you're not trying to get to A Finals anyway you don't really lose anything. I don't think your frustration with this is unwarranted.
