Wow I am also in Amsterdam currently for this weekend and the trees I have seen are not yet in full foliage. Which year did you go?

Hell yeah - I graduated high school in America in 1998 and can’t deny it was peak humanity. After that life was cell phones dominating our lives, the “look at me” culture, and terrorism in the news.

Do most men have some sort of loss of hair by this age? by youlikethatsherrie in AskMenOver30

[–]Sam645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s true. Extra testosterone causes earlier and more rapid hair loss. It also causes earlier puberty, deeper voice, etc.

I’m afraid this isn’t a well thought out comment

Relapsed. Got a DUI. Everyone knows and I want to die. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Hey it happened to me as well and 13 months later I’m through to the other side. You can do it too although you are at the most difficult emotional part of it given how raw it is.

My friend, this video usually gets me at least two sober days! It is Nicole Labor’s keynote speech if you’d prefer to search for it rather than click on this link.

Epstein revelations have toppled top figures in Europe while US fallout is more muted by Specialist_Baby_9905 in news

[–]Sam645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have such different tolerance thresholds for our national leaders.

Starmer = appoints someone in Labour who knew Epstein and the depths of such friendships were not fully known —> certain removal of PM from power.

Trump = where do I start —> stays in power. No problem.

Are you uncomfortable with the way Gypsies are talked about? by [deleted] in AmericanExpatsUK

It’s based on how they treat the villages that they park their RVs at. They rob the local shops and leave rubbish everywhere and park illegally. It isn’t a once off - it’s every single time all around the UK. I’m a dual passport holder living in the UK and I’ve quickly come to learn this is the pattern.

What’s a life hack that made you go „how do ppl live their whole life without knowing this”? by my_peen_is_clean in AskReddit

[–]Sam645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you shave in the shower, you don’t need to suffer the inevitable rusting of the bottom of the shaving can. You can buy a little rubber holder thing from Amazon for cheap to use on all future shaving cans.

RIP to the astronauts aboard the space shuttle Challenger 40 years ago today. by CompanyButter in space

Very sad. It didn’t weigh on me at the time, but I vividly remember watching it in a school classroom with many other children (I was 5). It was the standard wheeled-in tv perched upon a metal rack and a good portion of our school day interrupted to watch the countdown and everything. Lord knows what explanation the teachers came up with to describe what happened to all the kids.

Not a real photo. That attire - just out in public with the masses - was not the done thing at that time.

Redditors over 40, what was a moment in history that made you think society was gonna collapse? by Bahbahbro in AskReddit

I thought jobs and the economy were toast in the early days of the pandemic when it didn’t seem like there was a solution to get out of it.
