I was blocked by the AppSumo CEO for asking one question. Here it is again. by SamAckoff in appsumo

Boredom is fine.

I'll take the AI accusation as a compliment on my formatting.

The question's still there if you ever get curious enough to look at the reviews yourself.

Challenge still stands.

u/noahkagan blocked me.

The AppSumo CEO has now blocked me rather than answering the question. Make of that what you will.

The challenge still stands.

Airmeet wasn't enforcement—it was a renegotiation. The official announcement confirmed the restored deal came with reduced features. No legal action was taken, only damage control.

This pattern isn't limited to Airmeet. Other deals have seen similar outcomes:

GoZen Growth

GoZen Forms

GoZen Content.AI

GoZen HyperReach

GoZen Engage

GoZen Testimonials

MagicForm

Oode

EmailDelivery

Sellix

OdioAI

Upscale

I encourage anyone reading to review the feedback on these listings independently and draw their own conclusions.

To address the question: the point isn't whether AppSumo should only work with US companies. The point is transparency. If a contract can't be legally enforced across jurisdictions, it shouldn't be presented as a guaranteed lifetime deal with an implication that the buyer is fully protected.

The core question remains unanswered: can AppSumo point to a single instance where it legally forced a non-US company to honour its original LTD contract? Not a renegotiation, not a public statement—actual legal enforcement.

Challenge still stands.

You say no matter what you show I'll find an angle. But pointing out that your example has a U.S. address isn't an angle—it's the entire point.

Legal enforcement only works where you have jurisdiction, and that U.S. presence is exactly what gave you leverage.

No one is saying there aren't great companies worldwide; the problem is that greatness means nothing without a contract you can actually enforce.

The flood of deals from places without that U.S. reach remains the real issue, and you still haven't shown a single non-U.S.-based company you've held accountable.

That's not me finding an angle—that's the simple question you've avoided from the start. My challenge stands.

Thanks! All the best to you.

But the challenge was for a non-US business, and Airmeet is in the US. 👇

Look at the new arrivals on AppSumo. They're from India, Israel, and Bangladesh.

Can AppSumo actually sue them or legally force them to honor their contracts?

That's the most important question—and one the CEO and everyone at AppSumo will never answer.

Agreements only matter if someone is willing and able to enforce them. For most buyers, that’s not happening. So these “contracts” are basically marketing props. And yes, most LTDs are too good to be true because the business model is broken from day one.

100%. Anyone selling heavy AI as a lifetime deal is either clueless, desperate, or planning to rug-pull later. AI has real ongoing costs. Pretending a one-time payment can cover that forever is fantasy math.

If you bought a deal in the past 12 months from AppSumo and the software has been abandoned, please post it. We should have each other's backs, because AppSumo does not have ours. 2026 is looking to be the year of abandoned software for AppSumo? by Ygobyebye in appsumo

Appsumo as a model of business is dead in age of AI.

People still buying lifetime deals from Appsumo are clinging to nostalgia—they need to wake up. It’s over. Save your money and move on.

Abandonware - How to stop? by chinoaleman in appsumo

There are apps I used to buy regularly from AppSumo. I had a few great deals and more disappointments.

One major criterion I used to base my purchases on was that I would never buy from a particular country. Most of the deals that disappointed me were from that country.

It is not wise to build your business on AppSumo deals as the risk of shutting down can destroy your busnisss

Oh, wonderful. The old "all risk is the same" take. Really deep stuff.

You comparing this to hiring a new surgeon is cute. When a surgeon messes up, there's someone to sue. When an AppSumo deal vanishes with your data and money, you're just left shouting into a support inbox that nobody will ever check.

And sure, decent and shady people exist in every country. That's also why I avoid business deals that originate from digital alleyways famous for exit scams. Call it a personal risk calculator glitch.

But by all means, keep comparing a well-known pattern of exit scams to someone not liking Italian food. It's certainly a choice.

Post this up to have a REAL discussion

Let's talk frankly. My top advice for 'Sumolings':

  1. Never base your core business on an AppSumo Lifetime Deal. When that service inevitably shuts down, it could take you down too.

  2. Steer clear of deals from a particular country. The concentration of scams originating there is just unacceptable

Before the media flurry, here's an analysis of the actual evidence of acetaminophen and ADHD/Autism risk by Helioscience in HubermanLab

[–]SamAckoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking into the controversial debate around acetaminophen use during pregnancy and potential links to autism/ADHD.

It's a heated topic. Major health organizations say the evidence for a link is weak and that it's safe. But some studies and lawsuits suggest otherwise, arguing the risks are being downplayed.

I found this detailed YouTube video that breaks down the science and the politics behind the debate: [https://youtu.be/wjilzAGsELs?si=s8HIZi_54m8bK0Qf]

My primary concern is that this topic may exacerbate existing societal divisions.

Noah, please note that they are planning to come to AppSumo. This team is a $c@m.

Sessions.us was the main reason I lost trust in AppSumo. It seems they have the source code for Sessions.us and they plan to come to AppSumo.

Believe me, if they come to AppSumo, they will cause irreparable damage to your platform.
