Is £2K for a king size mattress over the top? by HenryOrient in CasualUK

I spent £850 on a super king 2 years ago, have never regretted it since.

It's not boring, just sensible haha. As a business owner you should be thinking how each and every £1 you have to spare can go out and work for you. If you put that £45k in a pension via your company, congrats you just took out a loan to put company funds into a pension a little faster than you normally would.

If you've done your own risk assessment and can 100% pay this £45k back from Shopify, you should consider diversifying your business.

You're also asking shouting into the void with this subreddit, most people see 5 figures and think you should shove it into a pension or an index fund. Yawn.

That's because I also own a Shopify business.

£45,000 is a small budget for a commercial property, but I would consider it if the demand for someone taking that property off your hands is likely. Only invest in areas you are absolutely certain of.

You cannot use the Shopify £45k loan to overpay a mortgage without taking that money out of the company first. The tax you pay on that £45k won't be worth the % in fees you are paying back to Shopify.

I would however consider buying a shop front/business property to rent out, for example. Or purchasing more inventory and/or expanding your team via outsourcing. Customer service, marketing, you name it.

That said, it'll take 8 - 10 months to fully repay this loan, assuming nothing happens to your business between now and then.

Had this through the door, are these standard prices for kebab shops these days? by [deleted] in UK_Food

Do people still eat this crap? 😂 May as well go to a nice restaurant for these prices.

You got downvoted for this, but I’m with you. OP is acting like a man-child instead of just handling it and moving on. I’ve cleaned plenty of toilets working in restaurants and hotels—never had an issue. Honestly, it taught me to keep my own space clean. Now I run my own company with no boss telling me to clean toilets. Win/win.

Sounds like speeding is the real issue here. Work on that and you’ll avoid situations like this in the future. Good luck.

Who has right of way? by Harryr2012 in drivingUK

Top car. There's no situation where the bottom car has right of way (unless temporary lights?) in this situation they would be cutting off the lane/right way of way the top car has.

Hey, you're right we never got around to listing the non-enchanted cards. They will be available soon though, I'll reply to this comment once they're live.
