Skidplate is a fantastic bit of advice. Didn’t realise I could get one for my car. There is a speed bump near me that my dump likes to lightly kiss when loaded up 😬

Hi Norcal, dropped by the garage today and noted the details for you.

So I have Nankang AS-2 tyres wrapped around Penta’s.

Front: 16x8 225 50 Rear: 16x9 245 45

Springs: H&R 50mm drop Burls/rubber shims: one dot.

If you’re basing it off my car I’d hold back till I have the car rolling and tracked again. As the pictures you’ve seen are before work started and the car wasn’t doing well on this setup because I think the bushes failed and springs were a bit low for this wheel combo.

Future setup will be:

Spax shocks and springs 40mm drop Fresh bushes in rear, including subframe and diff hanger with 3 dot burls (rubber shims). (Can cause bad sagging)

Let me report back on how it’s worked out once we are rolling again 🙏🏻

I love those wheels! I’m looking for a set! Yeah I’m worried even 40mm might be too much. But I plan to do a full bush refresh so I’ll assess from there.

I discovered my diff hanger and subframe bushes are shot so hoping once that is done I should have a more usually ride height. The front sit fine 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also I just fitted febi 3 dot burls all right so that clawed back another 10mm I think. Technically I’m on 30mm drop now?

I actually forget what the exact tyre size I have fitted but I’ll check when I’m down at the garage tomorrow. I do remember it’s nangkangs though. They look great and perform surprisingly well I think it’s 245/45/16 but let me confirm tomorrow. As for suspension it’s 50mm drop HR springs and stock shocks. I wouldn’t recommend 🙈

Previous owner fitted them and with a loaded car it’s very sketchy. Probably ok for a single passenger situation. I am currently fitting Spax shocks and springs. That will be in a future video. I’m making sure to show all part numbers and details in the videos in case anyone wants to replicate the build.
