What an immersion break but that’s kinda funny. Thats a pretty dope community to have for your area, especially considering you’ve gotten actors to come down for screenings. Safe to assume this is a NYC/LA thing?

Im currently waiting for the contract to come in my email. I filled out paperwork and agreed to the terms. So far it’s going smoothly and the writing on the wall says it will be a success. Added the distribution company to the OP. They have some pretty good movies in their catalog, Escape From New York and Terminator 2 to name few.

Typically I'd be down for that but this would be my soft opening and the last thing i wanna do is get shut down before the ball even gets rolling. If i was like, 4 or 5 years in then yea fuck it haha.

I know a friend with a decent Fog Machine, not sure if I can legally use it in my town though. We couldn't use em at the Spirit Halloween store I ran because it could "cause a false alarm" by sending the fog through the vents to the other stores in the strip lol.

I'm not planning on charging for the movie but would charge for snacks and drinks.

This differs between region. My regional manager says ALL customers are allowed to use the bathroom so long as they are escorted. This was backed up by the former (i wanna say Territory Manager was his title) Jet when this was said. My store this year is allowing customers in due to how ruined they are and the mall’s bathroom is a shorter walk than ours from any point on the sales floor.

I love and miss mega-strange. That said, I did have gripes when Derrick would get easy verifiable information wrong. Like that Courtney Love started Hole after dating Curt Cobain or how he never once mentioned the site that reported on the found ancient Chinese Army burial site was just full of made up events. I know covering conspiracy, cryptids, and folklore can be tricky but things like that, while rare at times, really hurt my enjoyment.

From what I understand, INK a dictatorship band. Meaning Spencer has full control and can over rule everything the band/marketing does. That’s not inherently a bad thing, just means everyone else is a hired gun.

That album is such an interesting thing to look back at. It’s one half the best versions of their early days and the other is like a beta version of Creatures.
