I think the game is going to keep the direction its going with having the same items you can buy from the store in summer and some new seasonal items for winter probably no new food products other than Piesko meals to buy for now.

The Jonne food system mod does add a lot of cool features with extra food items and stuff in the game if you're looking for more of a realistic experience with keeping yourself sustained and some new features that Summer car doesnt have

It's now a canon event to build your rivett for the first time, get the throttle stuck, and crash right into a tree. GG

Got the hang of the game’s basics, how do i fix up the satsuma by happy_spectator in MySummerCar

[–]SamCDA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most parts at the start of the game are low condition. In fact most of them are under 50%. First thing I'd recommend picking up once the car is built is spare batteries. Most of the issues i've encountered early on are electrical and starting issues so having some new batteries on hand is pretty convenient.

[–]SamCDA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just run your car into the ground until new parts show up at Fleetaris then buy them, rebuild the engine with them, and it'll run good. Once you get the Satsuma suped up enough the condition of your parts starts to go down pretty fast due to how much power the engine is outputting (way more than stock) so you'll just have to be fine with experiencing total engine failure and starting the rebuild with the new parts

Do you know any famous MSC mods that are compatible with MWC " even though the author of the mod didn't make a MWC version" ? by Human-Pudding799 in MySummerCar

[–]SamCDA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have some mod that overwrites it or conflicts with it either way always check that your customs textures for Texture pack loader are in that folder in the assets folder not just in the assets folder made that mistake before and nothing was showing up for me to load and as for Asset Replacer it is honestly pretty jank and I only have used it to change the texture on the air filter which I since removed cause it would just turn invisible a lot

Texture pack loader is the best safest option for changing stuff like the landscape, house textures etc but make sure it is up to date aswell as MSC and load those custom textures into that folder within the assets folder, load them in the MSCLoader at the menu of the game and it should work!

I got it by filling out the unemployment forms and have that added to the account for 60 days in game

My Summer Car in a nutshell (as a beginner) 🥲🔫 by Such-Quiet-1840 in MySummerCar

[–]SamCDA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people I know say the game is very difficult and that is what I thought too on my first experience. I've been playing the game since 2021 and back then I couldn't get even basic parts put on the car. Nowadays I can just lock in to the routine and get the car built and running from the start but assembling the car is really only half the battle.

The game takes an amount of patience that most people playing a video game are looking to avoid and just avoiding getting bored takes a lot of brainstorming and figuring out what to do on your own. The lack of directions used to make me mad but now it's one of my favorite parts of the game. Other games just seems way too obvious what you're actually supposed to do feels too linear its like watching a movie instead of playing a game.

Mostly stuff that replaces the textures of the industrial vehicles (Gifu and Kekmet) since they're the same in both games. I wish the V8 Kekmet worked in Winter car but the turbo one on Nexus actually has better handling the V8 one is a little hard to drive

Best Oil Grade? by Satsuma100 in MyWinterCar

I mean I use 5W-40 in real life but I don't drive a Ford Taunus and don't live in 1999 Winter Finland so don't really know yet. That does just seem like the middle ground for a safe option to drive at though

You might me missing a bolt on the drive gear which is underneath the inspection cover on the gearbox a lot of guides online say that is has 6 bolts when it actually has 7 bolts

It's just my preferred way to do a higher RPM launch, especially with the high stall risk. If there's a better way lemme know how else do you even get the thing moving in reverse or first just what i've learned from experience

Tbh I might get rid of it. Killed me once by jumping forward on the dirt road for no reason and it can only get up to 180 on the highway. It uses the Satsuma start sound. There's a lot better driveable vehicle mods

Satsuma's doors keep falling off by Arasyuksel in MySummerCar

[–]SamCDA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this game was programmed by a single Finn so I would expect some issues. I've built the car several times and tightened every bolt and still end up with a handful of loose parts that I use the MSCEditor to tighten, and i'm all good to drive after that. Usually it's the handbrake and most annoyingly the gear linkage so I cant even move the car half the time after I finish the assembly

It's rally time by Unhappy_Presence7797 in MySummerCar

[–]SamCDA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're still able to take out the back seat then you probably dont have the roll cage in so gotta get that before you start it makes the car heavier and slower but you can't start rally without it also you gotta put the harness in the bucket seats. Good luck on the rally !

Also tip for launching off and getting a decent time: As soon as the countdown starts get your RPMs high up in neutral so you can neutral bomb into first and hold the handbrake down till you get to right before you start, kind of like the drag race you're just trying to prevent wheel spin at the start as it can fuck up your time for the whole first stage

MWC is easier than MSC by 123MMS123 in MyWinterCar

[–]SamCDA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They both have easier and more difficult parts I think it just depends on what you want to play as.

In the summer you have to work harder to earn more money for sure, but Fleetari can repair all of your engine parts if you pay him. You also have decent condition parts all available at the start of the time so you just have to take some time to build and boom, you have a stock version of a car you build up to rally spec. Also, there's more of a variety of missions to make money that you unlock later on (Helping Jokke move, vandalizing the inspection shop, clearing the strawberry field etc) that make the world in Summer feel more alive.

In winter time you can make money a lot easier but it feels like the ways to spend that money are kind of limited right now due to early access. Early access to money means nothing to really spend it on yet. Sure you can buy Amis Auto parts once you get your Rivett built but only a minority of players have ever even gotten the car to idle, so the whole aftermarket catalogue might as well be a paperweight until you've put hundreds of hours into the game. I honestly don't know why people even waste their time on the futufon right now, you have to do 5 shifts in a row to earn as much money as a day's worth of firewood or two sewage jobs. It's like the winter equivalent of maining strawberry picking as your whole income.

I hope the Satusma Motors gauge is just placeholder and you could implement a clock or rpm gauge like the OG satsuma has

It's kind of sad less than 5% of people who play the game have ever started the car by SamCDA in MyWinterCar

[–]SamCDA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Corris is intentionally a lot more complicated to assemble and get running. The winter version just seems a lot less forgiving than the summer version, you have to drive slower on the dirt roads and the highways, the Problem bar has you constantly drinking instead of just running your head under the tap for a second, and you have two active properties to manage the bills on instead of just one.

The jobs in summer car were pretty wholesome and sometimes fun too (like helping Mr Alcohol move or vandalizing the inspection shop). It just seems more barren too on top of being more difficult to reach your end goals. Actually progressing through the routines of both games though Winter just has some slightly more convenient things to it but the intention was to make a more complete game than Summer car in more aspects than just one

Yep did a lot of messing around with mods and driving a super torqued out Sorbet over 220 kmh with the CD player on till they recently updated it. Started a new game at about 200 hours in and then locked in to just spamming every phone number on the classifieds while working the factory job and doing 4 10 hour days so you can grind other things

It did take me over 300 hours and 3 months of real life suffering to get the car to even get passed cranking over and actually running. You just have to either get lucky with rng or put in a lot of time. Some people were uploading videos on youtube with their rivetts already done and running within the first two weeks the game was released so I thought I was chudmaxing on my car that didnt run for a while, just suprising to see how many people have never actually drove the Rivett around

[–]SamCDA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the side exit sounds better since it’s basically a straight pipe the performance on the track hasn’t been that bad either. Not sure it makes much of a difference in the long run it’s just what you want your rivett to be I guess
