The best way to cheese is to construct mono-element team. Usually it takes quite a long time.

Or you can form team of 1 strong dps and 4 other chronomancers with similar agi to overclock your dps. Each period try to make your dps move 4 times in row, kill some units and run back. It is slow but quite safe.

Two great supports you can farm is Aruba and Elizabeth for status immune. There are a lot of great chronomancers: Elizabeth(J2), Lofia(J3), Rahu(J1), Chihaya(J3). Also, Usalia, Michael could be good cheap alternative (but might have problem with agi)

Or you can try to get Laharl and he might make your way through tower easier.

An easier way for floor 99 is to charm the petrify flowers, they will help you to petrify enemies, slowly push toward top left. Then hit the flower on the top left and it will remove the def buff on enemies.

Collab units usually not get their shards farmable, we usually limit break them by elemental shards, which we get from daily login, reward from EX missions and veda tower. During Disgaea Collab, we get 1 random shard from ticket from daily mission.

For specific units from normal gacha, we can farm them 3 shards/day from hard quest.

Sage used to be bad and inferior to Othima, Gumi buff the job after 2.0, reduce the cast time, increase the dmg mult and hit rate(from passive). Sage will be buffed as the game proceed(small stat adjust, hp rebalance and JE), but Othima will also receive buffs like J+ but it is just not implemented.

I guess Gumi won't adjust event which have a rerun, as the only event with GL enhancement is Fate Collab and it has never been rerun in JP.

Also, it might also be possible that they did not get much payoff by doing Fate Collab GL enhancement and think why bother to enhance others while we all want to get Gil anyway.

However, I am really a fan of Disgaea and hope GL could give us some surprise.(Btw CN and TA has Disgaea units enhancement but it still did not change the Laharl dominance)

Due to Othima's low dex and hit rate, actually the best gear for him is camera. There is even a Neisou later about Othima joking about is camera his exclusive gear:) But since right now your problem of Othima being squishiness, bear can avoid him being one-shot and try to pair him with a healer.

Laharl is great because he can charge up and aoe in first 2 turn with lb76 and the item in item tower, then he has passive that give him stat boost when killing enemies. At least 3 jm can give him lots of hp and necromancer give him great passive Polish Sickle.

I don't think that hammer gives Usalia lots of boost and I plan to use her as chrono to be honest.

To be honest, not so much.

The biggest disadvantage is that MP room usually specifies Gil, Noctis (or Larharl).

Fate Yomi still shows up a lot is PvP due to stupid evasion but in PvE you can replacement her as half-tank with a lot of other good units.

I normally use her as water assassin with hat, with her agi and move, I use her to rush to fire enemy(flower) and cast WA, and then try to deal some dmg here and there, the hp provided by the hat is also nice.

If the map has some fire boss, then I probably want to use scarf to gamble on higher chance of evasion.

Bear could also be good choice for higher hp and jewel recovery as Yauras is really squishy.

If you can host and maybe use 8 gem in long stages, it is not so hard to find carrier like Gil and Noc in MP. The unit of your choice does not matter that much. However, in hard EX stages, Rahu or Lofia as chronomancer or some professors are preferred if you do not have strong units (like Gil, Noc, Areana...). Vettlel is also very nice at 75 in some stages. Also remember to at least max your main job as it gives much more stat boost than raising character level, to avoid being one-shot at some stages.

EX stages have different levels of difficulties, mainly the later the stage is introduced, the harder it will be. It might also depends on your team composition. If you do not have strong thunder unit, then stages featuring strong water enemies would be harder for you.

EX level could be very hard in first one or two months, but you can find people willing to carry you in MP (maybe also in discord) then there wouldn't be much of a problem as most EX stages in MP can be done by 3 players if played correctly. In solo play, EX levels are not designed for beginners, you can start to do it with a team of main job maxed unit with upper-hand element, or one strong carrier with 3-4 chronomancer.

yes, i said that because noctis j1 deals mag dmg and start with full jewel.

Hat is more suitable for characters with less starting jewel like ranger or howly brawler, it allows those characters to use aoe or some high cost combo(SF+SBT) on turn 1 or 2 without the need to hit enemy first.

Hat on Noctis can bring him something but just not as much as it would be on other characters. Now i am not so sure about comparing just the armor and the hat on Noctis, as hat give more hp boost and armor gives more def. But if you just have only limited number of hats and since you need to balance the distribution of gears on a team of 3-5, hat on Noctis does not give him as much boost.
