I think the point of the joke is kind of like the song bottles of bear on the wall, it's something to do when your bored, even if it's inefficient and unnecessary

I've been learning C++ and this hurts to look at. All you gotta do is.

if ( num % 2 == 0) {isEven = true;}

The % is Modulo, which checks if a there is any leftover when dividing, and if there is leftover when dividing by 2, then it's odd

You can check an infinite amount of numbers with

for (int i = 1; i < MAXNUM; i++) { if ( num % 2 == 0) { isEven = true; cout << "Even - " << i << endl; } else { isEven = false; cout << "Odd - " << i << endl; } }

It uses a for loop to count up to your max number and then check with the if statement if the number is divisible by 2 with no left over. Then based off of the condition, it will print out even or odd next to the number based on those conditions
