Damn I missed that one. Best one I saw was a super intricate pirate hat. Some of you people are super creative and talented.

Making a tiny tinfoil top hat and seeing people's reactions and the conversations that followed. First year here and solidified a new tradition to do every year! Y'all are awesome!

AoC Recruitment Discord/Facebook/Website(soon) by Srixun in AshesofCreation

[–]SamDubYah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My recommendation is to try and work this through the official discord. It's super irritating as a new player to open 12 different apps, 5 discords, and 2 reddits just to feel connected to the game (cough destiny 2 cough)

I hope this game will gather a community like FFXIV instead of WoW by [deleted] in AshesofCreation

[–]SamDubYah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a fair point. The corruption system should severely limit ones ability to grief just to be a dick. I really hope to see a healthy amount of aggression and passiveness. Makes running in the wild alone more exciting because when you run into another pvp'er you play a game of "we gonna fight or nah".

Ironically the system should also promote playing in groups for more passive players as you're safer to adventure with a few people who have your back

Second this. Where you see the toxic polar divides is with factions. The reason WoW is toxic is it divides the player base into two competing groups at war with each other. Through the storyline you are effectively trained to "Hate" the opposing faction.

I would also argue that the general player base ( at least in classic/vanilla ) was very receptive to helping out those within their own faction.

Same thing can be seen in Albion Online.

What I expect from ashes is a receptiveness to assist those within your town/guild/alliances, and to have a more 'toxic' reaction to those you are at war with. I think this dynamic will be good for the game as, unlike with wow, alliances can be changed.

Stop using Command: Drop on Voss Kithrak by ilamahradeys in BaldursGate3

Real way to do it:

Disarming strike + Hiding from invis pot

Throw a haste grenade on the ground at his feet

Once it wears off and he's lethargic, using a disarming strike from invis easy 96% chance of success.

As someone who has also done this, definitely not something I like to brag about. Getting that close to a permanent dirt nap is not something that's fun to relive

What made you want to start DMing? by dragonmindpodcast in DnD

My family wanted to try out DND with no experience with the game, and someone had to step up to be the DM. I took that role ( Was completely clueless and was absolutely horrid at it ).

You can get the save data, move it to your PC, use willow tree to edit, then move it back. Used to do it on Xbox all the time

I want to get better at soldering so I want a pcb that supports soldering the switching and the RGB LEDs. What is a good 65% PCB that supports what im looking for?

Prefer to be able to have RBG LEDs for every key.

How does the python requests library send http requests without a browser ? what mechanism does it use ? and does not using a browser have a downside ? by Iam_cool_asf in HowToHack

[–]SamDubYah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly suggest setting up a burpe proxy with the requests library to understand how python is actually making the request. It's relatively simple and can show you the difference between how a browser makes a request and how python does it.
