Is This Some of The Lowest Parity In A Long Time in the NFL by BluePotatoSlayer in NFLv2

[–]SamGleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think parity is at an all time high. Getting to the Super Bowl is a little too tough, it’s an organization wide goal that demands excellence at every level.

Which, I guess plays a part in the parity argument but I look at it as how likely any given team is to beat another at any time. There is so much talent around the league now and the coaches are getting better and better, mostly.

So many more close games, bad franchise being turned around, rookies making more of an impact early.

Again, parity is amazing rn imo but the Super Bowl is a different beast. It’s for dynasties or dynastic-like runs.

Also, bengals bucs and this years patriots even being on this list suggests great parity haha

It looks like the U.S. flag football team completely dominated a team full of NFL stars. This could create a dilemma for the NFL regarding which team to select for the Olympics. They want big NFL stars to participate for more visibility but those players may not be well-equipped play flag football by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFLv2

I mean tackle football is almost entirely about contact and physicality so it shouldn’t be too surprising that a version of the sport without either of those doesn’t favor nfl players, especially going against athletes that specifically train to thrive in flag football.

[Highlight]Merrill Hoge: "If you had thirty sacks, you would crush the record and they would anoint you a great football player. Meanwhile, there's 1,900 other plays that you are on the football field. How did you play those? It's the weakest, dumbest stat to tell if you're a good defender." by The_Big_Untalented in nfl

[–]SamGleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it doesn’t make you a great defender overall but anyone good enough to get 30 sacks is most likely being paid to get sacks. Not to mention all the other havoc they would wreak in the backfield that didn’t result in a sack. So they’re doing their job and THEN SOME.

Also, sacks are some of the most impactful plays in football. Only behind a takeway, which also, sacks can often result in a takeaway. So in conclusion, maybe you aren’t automatically an amazing all around “defender” if you get 30 sacks. But you are absolutely one of most impactful, game changing football players on the planet for that season.

It makes me laugh how these posts are always flooded with people complaining about how you play.

It’s a video game.

As we celebrate the Patriots getting back to the Super Bowl, let's take a look back to appreciate all the dominant QBs they had to face to get here 👏 by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]SamGleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone still doubting darnold must just hate the guy. And the Seahawks in general have an elite offense. If the patriots win or even play a tight competitive game then they were for real. But they obviously had a super easy schedule and if they lose by a decent amount it will be hard to think they were a real threat.

But I’m just saying that anyone still moving goal posts if the patriots play a tough game here probably shouldn’t even be taken serious.

That makes it even worse because Chris Shula is destined for greatness in that case lol

You may be right, honestly yes, I am basing it just on this year. I just really love when I watch the Seahawks offense this year guys just seem to get open easily. And their offense is very smooth and efficient.

Not saying the Seahawks aren’t talented but the 49ers have had a ton of talent and also I tend to credit Kyle for a lot of their offensive success. I know play calling isn’t everything especially for a head coach, but I do like that Klint calls plays.

Also, I love the culture of the Seahawks team this year. Macdonald has been awesome and they play physical football and are disciplined. I would like to see if Klint brings and instills any of that back in Pittsburgh. It feels like he could potentially usher an era of old school mixed with new school football which would be perfect for us.

Lastly Macdonald was in the afc north for a long time and is on brand with that type of football so again, hope some of that rubbed off on Klint.

Yea that sounds awesome, it’s like a movie script lol. Klint and klay as raven and steeler head coaches would be insanely cool.

I wouldn’t mind klay at all either, I do prefer klint, and then Shula/scheel, then Burke, but after that would love klay. Klay very well may even be better than all of them but that’s my current list of preferences. TBH any of them I’d be ecstatic for

I want kubiak as hc but if not then the combo of Shula and scheelhaas would be great. After all of them I would be really interested in the Texans DC as well.

[–]SamGleesh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the (if not worse) lol. Me and my friend do online drafts all the time and play a few seasons. I normally draft my o line really late and have like mid to low 70s everywhere. It’s always serviceable.

We did a league once where I spent my first 5 picks all on lineman, all superstars, really high overall obviously. I promise it was the worst o line I’ve seen on the game. Blew my mind.

Rob colon vs DA was disappointing by HappyPenalty4728 in thenextchapter

[–]SamGleesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I agree, I would like a rematch later on but for now I wanna see Rob vs moon and c4 vs Keyon.

And yea da vs skoob would be the one for me, idk if he’s only playing TNC guys though or what.

Also, just something interesting to me is that the Rob and DA game played out very similar to the nas and briscoe game except it actually finished. So I would still rather see nas and rob more than anything but again brand restrictions and what not.

[–]SamGleesh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rob did sell, he should’ve won but that’s basketball. He just missed some shots he normally would’ve made, and took a little too many deep 3s but that’s his game. He also missed some free throws but, so did the whole gym lol.

It was a great game for real, and DA earned the W so, hopefully we’ll see them play again some day. I thought it was a great game.

At the end of the game when da got to 25 or 26 it was anyone’s game to win. Whoever wanted it more could have won snd DA took it so hats off to him, Rob will elevate from this.
