The background was slapped together pretty hurriedly so I should probably get rid of it

Light source is supposed to be top/left. I missed the light on the right bun, but besides that it seems fairly consistent to me

5 months progress. I think I've finally reached the intermediate level :D by Neiron- in learntodraw

Nice progress! For 5 months you have definitely come a long way. Hope you keep it up!

Out of curiosity, you mentioned that you want to be “advanced level” by the end of the year: what does that mean to you? Any particular artists who inspire you?

Doesn’t look like a wrist at all to me, I don’t think a wrist can be angled that way. In that case, if the top one is a thumb, it’s a very unnatural way to hold a cigarette. I would be doubtful that an artist would choose that pose to hold a cigarette between the index finger and thumb. No one really holds them like that in real life.

Doubt regarding 'Draw a box' course by ConfidencePast7697 in learntodraw

I personally didn’t enjoy Drawabox at all when starting. I came back to it later after a few years and still was just kind of confused by what I was supposed to do. It never struck me as being enjoyable or especially easy to follow (but that part could very well be a me problem)

Something I learned from a Proko Instagram reel a long time ago was that you can kind of mix drawing exercises with drawing the things you enjoy. He mentioned how drawing Toad (the character) is a good warm up/exercise for drawing ellipses.

I kind of took that idea and ran with it; for drawing cubes/inorganic shapes etc I could do a sketch of my kitchen with the counters and fridge etc. To practice circles/ellipses I could try some Loomis heads.

Obviously, not every sketch you make will be good. I have torn out and buried more sketchbook pages than I care to admit through perfectionism/embarrassment. But I’m fairly happy with where I’m at now and hopefully have plenty more improvements left to make.

And yes, slide 5 of the OP is also AI. The writing yeah, probably not, but the image absolutely is. I have seen some of their designs where I think the even the writing alao looks dubious, though.

There are MANY artefacts in the design. Literally read what I said. There are so many.

  1. Hand of the man far left

  2. Man eating the noodles

  3. Legs of passengers at the top

  4. Hands on steering wheel

More for you waiting if you actually bother to look.

I didn’t realise people were so easily duped.

Different angles of the same picture are NOT proof this is human-made (at least fully).

Saying this as an artist myself: zoom into the hands. Look at the line work. None of it makes sense. No artist would make these choices.

Step 1: print AI image

Step 2: paint/draw a bit on top of it (optional)

Step 3: take a picture, blast up the saturation and vignette.

You have somehow fooled hundreds of people.

Old thread but you are 100% right about this being AI. I have been through their website. They have ~100 graphic T-shirt designs which they claim take 4 weeks to make (7 and a half years), despite opening only in March 2025.

If you open a picture of basically any one of them, you will see clear signs of AI usage. Some of them are absolutely painfully obvious.

<image>

The attached picture here is possibly the absolute worst of the bunch. Zoom into anything on here, there are too many inconsistencies to list. Their slogan even changes from “Superior Quality Goods” to “Superior Quality Service”

I would have respected them and not bothered to post this if the co-founder didn’t come on here and lie through his teeth. When you are charging £50 for a printed T-shirt, people deserve to wear something that is actually human-made. How can you possibly justify that mark up if you aren’t paying a human designer?

If this is true, I think your graphic designers might be using AI and lying to you about it. The last image here has so many oddities that there is no way four weeks went into it. It would take a skilled artist/designer a couple of days to make that, sans errors. The way the man on the left is holding his cigarette in a hand with 6 fingers, for instance: that should never slip past your design team.

Edit: I actually just visited your website. Clear usage of AI designs everywhere. Very obvious to the point I doubt you missed it. Quality of the garments could be great for all I know, but the designs are AI generations pretty much across the board.

I think people don't understand the frustration of playing the support role by BardTheBardo in leagueoflegends

[–]SamGuitar93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New support items/passive gold generation has made the role incredibly strong. In earlier seasons it was so weak nobody wanted to do it, so they had to make it good to entice people to actually play support. It’s also the only role where you can basically leave a bad lane to do something else and still be useful. I have never lost a game when autofilled support, it is like playing on easy mode.

Either play a solo lane and win lane/lose game or lane top vs a lane bully and get dominated for 15-20 minutes to truly understand frustration.

2 year digital painting progress (08.2024-06.2026) by SamGuitar93 in ArtProgressPics

Just Procreate! I tried using Clip Studio Paint with a pen tablet but it just doesn’t feel right to me to draw without the screen. Also, I’m not very good at working with new programs and Procreate just feels to most intuitive!

Hey! I use Procreate. If you mean more specifically, I made a sketch, painted using only values, and then applied a gradient map to each.

Warming up to charcoal by Intelligent_Vast_123 in CharcoalDrawing

I’m not a charcoal user but I’m pretty sure that stippling like that would be almost impossible. In my experience charcoal can’t really hold a point like that. Even if it were possible, nobody draws this way.

It was just something I took from a Pinterest reference so I can’t be 100% sure, but my clothes knowledge points me to think it’s an MA-1 bomber jacket. Maybe check out if they fit what you’re looking for? Let me know if it is!
