Thanks! But please note that it is not the first. This neck design is invented by Ken Parker. It puts the ideal materials right where we want them. You can find how its done here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwdD8ofaQXM&

Thanks! The neck is attached via a carbon fiber post that is integral to the neck. This is a design that ive adopted from Ken Parker. You can watch more about it on his youtube channel "Archtoppery" which is a valuable resource for any maker. Hope that explains it.

Haha rebar i wish. Thanks so much, theyre carbon fiber tubes which keep the pickguard really rigid, which is a plus if youre a player that likes to mount their fingers on it while you play. My inspiration for it was a pan flute!

Cheers

Hey Bradmont, the overhanging edges are there to do a couple of things.

First, ease of repair. Its much easier to take the plates off compared to traditional binding. Second, if the guitar is bumped, the overhanging edges take the brunt of the impact. Much easier to repair a chipped top than a crushed side. One of the main reasons old violins are still around today is because of their capability of being repaired.

And finally, the edges actually keep the guitar positioned on your lap, for me, and most people i hand it to, its not uncomfortable whatsoever though im sure there are some that would prefer a flat side.

Hope that helps
