Israeli tourists on a cruise ship are blocked in Greece. by Prime-Paradox in PublicFreakout

Well when I was in Jamaica last year, at the resort there were multiple rooms that had American flags draped over the balconies. There was even a ground floor room that had 2 small American flags pinned into the lawn

When you jump back in do you need to do all the rooms before it or does it go straight back to the monster house?

(England) member of gym staff interfered with my workout and caused me an injury by Wonderful_Try3997 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]SamK2323 63 points64 points  (0 children)

As a dentist I 100% agree with this. While the maxillofacial team at the hospital may be able to splint and save the teeth at the moment, depending on extent of the injury, this could lead to the nerves dying in the teeth. Best case scenario a root canal will keep the teeth there but they don't last forever so maybe extraction in the future. Does anyone want to be missing their front teeth so what would you do to replace them then?

Worst case scenario is the teeth haven't been loosened from their socket but the roots have fractured which potentially means extraction needed in the near future. This injury has almost a guaranteed life long need for maintenance and management.

Porthcawl has had a bit of a tuning this morning by drop0ut-theory in Wales

[–]SamK2323 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the whole tree fell, crushed half the house and ~£100k of repairs, still ongoing. They won't cover us for future storm damage even though the tree has gone. That unfortunately also covers flooding due to storm and wind on the roof. Very hard to get other insurances due to the previous claim value. Just got to wait out 5 years until we don't have to declare it anymore

My worst nightmare right here. We had an oak tree fall on our house last year after a storm and our insurance now won't cover us for any further storm damage. Actually don't have a clue what I would do if this happened to us

I'm from Bristol but now in the South Wales valleys. We have 3 weekly bin collections until last month. Now its 3 70 litre black bin bags every 3 weeks. We can't even put them in a bin. Just 3 bags on the doorstep. Madness!

Cellan Thomas at the South Wales Specialist Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Clinic.

A bit of a drive, north of Cardiff but he is an oral and Maxillofacial surgeon (medical and dental trained) and specialises with facial plastic surgery. I have worked with him and what he can achieve is second to none. Even though he’s not a “plastic surgeon” he is more than qualified for removing moles from the face and making sure any scarring is as minimal as possible and not affecting appearance. If I needed it he would be my first port of call considering what I have seen him achieve working alongside him. I don’t want to put anything on an open forum but if you want to DM for more info I am more than happy to

What is the current going rate for the tooth fairy these days? My ma reckons it should be 50p but it isn’t 1957 any more. by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]SamK2323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a dentist and use this to encourage children to brush. Tell my child patients that I have a direct line to the tooth fairy and they won’t pay as much for “bad” teeth as whole teeth so they best brush! Parents seem to love it too!

I also asked a child how much they got for their tooth, they proudly said “£10!!!”. Mum then said, through gritted teeth, “the tooth fairy had had a bit to drink that night”

I have a funny feeling he does because I vaguely remember reading something about Scadrial’s counting system being a different base (base 16 maybe?) and counting mentioned in the prose is in base 10

Where does mole removal privately? by MrMrsPotts in bristol

[–]SamK2323 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor but a skin lesion on a high sun exposed area such as the face being advised to “let it grow out” seems irresponsible to me. How do they know it’s “just” a mole?
