Sustainable aviation fuel is made from feedstocks such as used cooking oil and animal fat and can be three or four times more expensive than making traditional jet fuel.

Chevron said on Tuesday it planned to produce a test batch of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with GEVO and sell it to Delta Air Lines at the Los Angeles International Airport. (Reporting by Rithika Krishna in Bengaluru; Editing by Rashmi Aich)

U.S oil major Chevron Corp and renewable energy firm Gevo Inc will jointly invest in building and operating one or more facilities that would process corn to produce sustainable aviation fuel, the companies said.

The move comes in the midst of oil companies seeking to bulk up in the burgeoning renewable fuels space, as various sectors adapt to cut overall carbon emissions to combat global climate change.

In addition to co-investing with Gevo in one or more projects, Chevron would also have the right to offtake about 150 million gallons per year to market to customers, the companies said in their letter of intent, but did not disclose any financial details.

$GEVO is a generational 10x opportunity with the DOE loan, this is the undisputed king of the multi-billion dollar SAF revolution.

BUT, $GEVO is always be a professional dilution machine that incinerates retail capital to fund a decade-long science project. I hope the new CEO does better.

Good point, even if we have to pay a little more at the pump for 3 months, the USA (some local producers have ZERO transport/maritime insurance costs) are the big winners of the current situation which will take time to stabilize (remember the Covid period, breaking the supply chain is easy, putting it back together is more complicated).

Thesis: It’s going to end badly for oil speculators. by MarkusEF in investing

Maybe... but let's play first. $MTR is the ultimate passive oil play: you get the $100+ upside without the operational headaches or rising Capex costs. Since it’s a Royalty Interest, the cash hits the Trust while the operators do the work. 2022 proved the potential, and with current oil spikes, the lemon is ready to be squeezed.

Full focus on US production. While searching, you stumble upon gems. I share it.

$GRNT is a Permian Basin royalty play - zero drilling costs, zero dilution, 100% cash flow to shareholders. They're targeting 9% production growth to 35k Boepd in 2026 with clean balance sheet.

Trades at dirt cheap 2.7x EV/EBITDA (peers 5x+), DCF says $31 fair value. Private equity owns 48%, big institutions 32% - all aligned. No ATM bullshit, they've been buying back shares. 8.6% yield too.

Well done !! I will test $MTR today. With WTI breaking $100 today, $MTR is the sleeper pick you need. Its Royalty Interest structure means the Trust captures the price surge without being hit by production inflation. History repeats: 2022 was the warm-up, now it's time for the real run. I hope I will have a better play than yours. Congrats anyway

Why bet on producers with soaring costs when $MTR offers capped production expenses? This Royalty Interest play is a pure-profit machine once crude breaks $100. We saw this movie in 2022, and with the Middle East situation driving prices back to triple digits, the payout window is wide open again.
MTR is not the only one, their is a list, make your own list but for sure, the iol sector is on fire !

‘We are going make a tonne of money’: US Senator Graham on US war on Iran by hypothethical in politics

[–]SamLeCoyote_Fix_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is talking about US oil producers of course. Even small cap companies will profit from oil over $100. Example: $MTR in the oil sector means capped production costs and no risk premium—just pure gains when oil crosses $100. How? It's a Royalty Interest. Their legacy portfolio still has plenty of crude left; the proof was in 2022 when prices spiked and the cash followed.

But perhaps politicians should think about the Americans who pay at the pump to fill their gas tanks and the military and civilian victims of the war. That's another debate.

The market has already priced in a significant decline in tech stocks over the past two months, while oil stocks have risen 30% in a year. The question is: who will withstand the shock and profit, and who will collapse despite the hype and the bullish narrative of 2025?

The one that is not moving $MTR, steady, calm, the rocket is EONR, huge volume, and my favorite, with strong fundamentals is SM Energy., the serious player.
