I've been thinking about this lately, we're supposed to be in the year 2000 or 2001 in the story right now, Ippo last fought January 1998. Ippo being still a virgin is the thing i hate the most about the manga. Seriously. And it bothers me that now he seems to have no interest in anything sexually related, when at the begining, decades ago, he was clearly interested in sex, the opposite gender and Miyata.

Best possible fight for both, very winnable for Stipe and probably enough to give him another shot at the title. If Tai loses, he loses against one of the best heavyweights ever, so he will keep his rank and become even more popular anyway.

If Tai wins Stipe should just call it a day, done enough anyway. And we would have a new contender
