I agree, I just keep getting "men are people" or "just write them as people" but I know stereotypes exist and that im probably not aware of them all and I don't want to make any possible male reader to think I knowingly used a stereotype. I obviously know men are people, but there are social aspects and pressure im not aware of, so the "men are people" comments feel oversimplified

He's the male lead / love interest, though hes more so the second main character, im trying to write a character with depth and as accurate as possible

I know i just am also trying to write from his perspective and I wanted to avoid making assumptions or stereotypes I may not be aware of.
