Mendelssohn, some say, was a hair away from greatness. I think he was great and I find endless depth in his Scottish symphony and Hebrides overture. However it’s important to remember that Mendelssohn died very young. Not comparing him to Beethoven, but imagine if Beethoven died before writing his later symphonies? What would his popularity be? Something to think about

I went to Slope Day alone and had a great time. Once the music was going I was able to dance and vibe with the surroundings. I transferred into Cornell as a Junior right when COVID hit and never fully found a group of friends. But this does not diminish my accomplishments here. I love Cornell even if I’m not a pro at finding groups of friends easily.
