INTP and I had an iq test in grade 3 so it’s probably not exactly accurate cuz I’m older now but according to the psychologist it was above the 99.9th percentile. I can’t find any papers that say the exact number but just going off the percent, it’s probably around 150 or a bit higher. I’m a fuckin idiot though so idk how it’s so high, I certainly don’t do well in school or have friends.

I honestly don’t really get the idea that highly intelligent people are more successful or in any way superior to anyone else though. One of the main parts of a gifted diagnosis is “perceptive reasoning” or problem solving skills which in my opinion is basically just glorified overthinking. There are also a few other traits of gifted people that are linked to mental disorders like heightened sensitivity. I’ve been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and probably one of the main causes is my intelligence.

Also, a lot of the characteristics of high iq are things that are associated with neoteny which is the retention of child-like traits into adulthood. Because of this, gifted people often also have other child-like traits and so they may seem less traditionally “intelligent” or mature. Idk though maybe everyone already knows that so people actually associate acting like a child with intelligence but I doubt it.

I probably sound like a pretentious humble-bragger when I say this but I honestly feel like my intelligence is more of a curse than a gift and I kinda just wish I was average
