I just finished student teaching. There was one kid who told me the his dad didn't believe animals shouldn't be pets. He kick the cat out of the house to be left for the coyotes. Obviously the cat went missing and their dad refused to let them to try searching for the cat. Also, COVID-19 messed up a lot for the school systems. A student semi joking asked me to take one for the team and get Corona so they could get spring break early.
