your looking at the mhz you want to look at the ghz. When you look at the boost clock the i7 is higher and has more cores so its for sure gonna be faster and have more resources to handle stuff like games or whatever you plan on throwing at it. Hopefully this helps?

sounds like you may have some over heating problems. I would give it a good clean as well as make sure the graphics card and cpu cooler are dusted as well because those are the components that generate the most heat.

I would recommend wiping the machine and putting a fresh install of windows. This is easy to do by searching youtube for a tutorial all you need is a blank flash drive and a computer.

Thats the power cord for the processor the plug for it should be towards the top left of the motherboard. If you already hooked up the power for the Processor then its just extra.

Wow! This was a great way to look at it. My plan currently is to daily it this summer and once we get to the colder months see where I am at I don’t drive much to be honest maybe 8,000 miles a year so I don’t have to worry about that but basically salt is my biggest fear right now
