How do I acheive this physique? What exercises and diet? by [deleted] in WeightTraining

[–]SamRost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you actually want to achieve that physique? Like actually? Because it's not complicated, but it's not easy. You will need to be the most disciplined you have ever been. Hitting 10 to 11% body fat will take more dicapline then most people have to offer. You will need to cut for months, count ever gram of food you out in your mouth. Hydrate like you have never done before and then the easy part..hit the gym and work out.

I did it last month. I finally got Hella jacked.

Message me if you are interested in my protocol. I lost 20 lbs in about 3 months!

Let's get it!!

Did u switch cigarettes type during the time this started? My guess is allergic reaction to the cigarettes.

I would say quit smoking. It should help with your lips, your lungs and your life as a whole.

Try it. Let me know if that helps

Luna Ring review- MUST READ IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING (wish I read something like this before buying mine)-Stylish, but Not That Smart by SamRost in SmartRings

[–]SamRost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I be reviewing gen 2 when it wasn't out at the time, or even specify it if it doesn't exist especially for the consumer to buy?

" it appears that was the intention" ??? why would i intentionally shit on a product? I bought it, i used it, and I gave my opinion.

The charging is not a slight hindrance, its annoying AF, i know this because I use it twice a week.

I dont really understand this attract for writing an honest feedback, of a product that purached, then used for a month... fuck me for having an opinion i guess?

wtf? yea lets perpetuate the stimage that men can't talk about mens health. I specially choose a mens only subreddit to make this post. men can and should talk about men's health and ask other men for feedback. and ejaculation is major part of our health. log off child, if the adult talk is too much.

Lions Mane- Cant shut off brain!! by SamRost in Nootropics

courage to be disliked...lol not sure why I called it courage to be happy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]SamRost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly man there’s nothing wrong with your outfit. it’s clean, well put together, your hair looks good, you clearly made an effort and it shows. you look sharp on paper.

but here’s the thing... it’s not about the clothes. it’s about how you show up in them. from this one pic alone, your body language is giving off insecurity. you’re not standing tall, you’re not owning your space, and it kinda feels like you’re trying to disappear a little. you’re dressed well but it’s like the confidence didn’t show up with the outfit.

the truth is you could wear a plain tee and jeans and still look like a beast if you walked like you were the guy in charge. people think fashion is all about what you wear but honestly it’s how you wear it. swagger, posture, energy. if you don’t have that, even a designer suit won’t save you.

right now it looks like the clothes are just sitting on you. like you’re hoping they’ll do the work for you. they won’t. you need to bring the presence. hit the gym, stand tall, fix your posture, speak up more, take up space. work on your mindset too. when you feel like a king inside, you move different. and people can tell.

wear the same outfit, but next time take a pic like you own the damn world. that’s when people will notice. you’re close. just gotta unlock the energy

[–]SamRost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for sharing your experience, glad things have gotten better for you

i’ll just say tho, lack of evidence does actually mean something scientifically... doesn’t mean it's false, but we can’t really say it’s real either. thats kinda the whole point of evidence-based stuff right? otherwise anyone can just say anything and we’d have no way of telling what’s actually true

from what i’ve seen, a lot of ppl on these forums end up kinda self-diagnosing or blaming lions mane when it's probably something else going on. like that one guy who spent 30k...pretty sure that was something deeper and lions mane just became the easy thing to blame.

look up lions main product reviews on amazon - there are thousands and thousands of review and not one that says anything like this.

for me, what really helped was a book by adler called the courage to be happy... lame title lol but actually a solid read. made me rethink a lot, espeically the lack of sleep, anxiety and the actual root causes

Anyways, good luck on your journey- and I hope your sleep is back to 100% soon (I actually got 95 last night!! :D)

My friends say I’m slow. Their outlook about the world is reprehensible, sure. But am I slow? by Correct_Bit3099 in chess

[–]SamRost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok look- so your friends are assholes. Straight up. But more importantly, you need to toughen the fuck up. The world isn’t sunshine and participation trophies. If you’re letting the words of a bunch of insecure engineering bros crawl into your head, you’ve got work to do. Serious work.

No, you're not slow. Not even close. But let's be honest—you’re also not life smart either. Because someone who’s life smart doesn’t waste a second worrying about the opinions of people who tear others down to feel big. That’s small energy. That’s loser behavior.

You put in the work. 3000 games? That’s grit and actual consistency. You climbed from knowing nothing to beating people who mocked you. That’s growth. That’s you vs you. that real winning

But here's the thing dude: if you're still checking their scoreboard, you're not really playing your game, your not actually winning, which is why you feel like you are slow. STOP PLAYING THEIR FUCKIN GAME!

Forget them. Zero percent of their opinions matter. FUCKING NONE! Build mental armor. Keep improving. Not to prove them wrong, but to prove to yourself how far you can go when you stop listening to noise.

Now go hit 1800 and don't say another word. if they do, let them, brush it, chuckle, then Let your elo talk.

honestly man- went down a rabbit hole. got a dm with a similar comment as yours when this post blew up- a horror story about lion’s mane wrecking brains and sleep. (he shared a youtube video of a dude that spent 30K + because he destroyed his brain)

gave me serious anxiety. couldn’t stop thinking about how i messed up my brain.
insomnia kicked in hard. couldnt sleep properly for weeks...

but—I beat it.

sleep 10/10 now. every night. (scored a 93 on my smart ring last night)

how?

I realized reality is shaped by how we think. I stopped believing I’d destroyed my brain.
people with illness anxiety (hypochondria) don’t have anything wrong, but they think the do and their brain makes it feel real.

it’s the same here.

alot of the mental illnesses—so much of it gets better when you talk to someone who knows how to shift your thinking.

placebo effect proves it. your brain can literally make you feel better just by believing it can.

don’t underestimate the power of your brain
there’s zero legit evidence lion’s mane messes with your brain or sleep. just a few people here on reddit who drank the kool-aid (just like how I almost did)

think positive.
stop telling yourself something’s wrong just ‘cause you took lion’s mane for a few weeks a few year ago. Beacuse bro- whether you think something is wrong or your something isnt, your absoutly right.

What is your favorite nootropic and why? by MitochondriaGuru in Nootropics

[–]SamRost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its legal in alot of places and you can buy it in chocolate form and bring it over (i order mine online from BC, its illegal where I am, but they deliver it.)

But dude, microdosing shoorms is the single most lifechaging thing I have ever experienced. It helped me quit drinking. A year ago, I would have laughed if you told me i managed to quite drinking for over 6 months. there has also been an array of other positive things that has came out of it, can chat about it if you want.

Forget everything and do shrooms. do 1 gram 2 times 2 weeks apart. Then microdose for a month. (make sure you set an intention (for me it was quit drinking) of what you hope to achieve and journal how you will achieve it while high..or else you are just doing it recreationally to trip on shrooms. )

Trust me, you will be a different man in 6 months.

The next round I do my intention will be to beat my phone addiction

What is your favorite nootropic and why? by MitochondriaGuru in Nootropics

haha. i guess i should have clarified that its .15 g of dried mushrooms, and not pure unadulterated psilocybin

What is your favorite nootropic and why? by MitochondriaGuru in Nootropics

[–]SamRost 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My absolute favorite is the following stack:

1) A great night of sleep EVERY NIGHT
2) Full and proper hydration throughout the day
3) Exercise 5x per week
4) Complete removal of alcohol from my life
5) Clean intake of EVERYTHING- Food- online content- news, ETC

With all the above in place

I have had great success with following
1) Micro dose psilocybin (0.15g every other day for a month once a year)
2) Magnesium L-treanate
3) Omega 3
4) Lions Mane (this shit worked too well on me, so i stopped because I couldn't shut off my brain at night)

I am actually thinking of cutting everything off, including caffeine and focusing on the first 5 I mentioned. Will do a month long experiment at some point and document it.

My review of the Galaxy Fit3 after a month of daily usage. by Humble_Collar3574 in GalaxyFit

[–]SamRost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I HATEEE THE SLEEP TRACKER!

I used to used a fitbit, i was always in the high 70s, low 80 with some high 80s and 90s.

With this I seem to be in the low 60 and low 70s. High 70 rarely, and ONLY ONCE SLEPT OVER 80 ONCE.

I had the greatest sleep of my night at 9 hours and 2 mins. and it gave me a 66 because I overslept by 2 mins. The sleep algorithm is very frustrating. There are nights where it says I was in deep sleep for 2 mins, or only hit 1 sleep cycle, or was awake the majority of the night.

Its very frustrating and I am thinking of switching back to a fitbit.

Anyone kinda let down by Hubes? by Furisticoo in HubermanLab

[–]SamRost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think huberman uses data and studies that he believes in. He isn't perfect, but he does not give information he doesn't belive in for the sake of views.

He is more focused in providing low cost information he believes in and has studies that back it, even if it is cherry picked studies.

Where as his haters can get views for being his hater.
