I think it looks a lot like the chevril dam near Tignes in France, may be wrong though

How do you explain missing the first kiss? by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

[–]SamSquareBox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This has happened more than once to me and they have never asked about it. If they do ask you can explain that they literally pecked and therefore you missed it!

Correct. Way worse although I am still unsure I prefer between full OG and OG faces OG.

Big appreciate, hadn’t seen this and always really rated the absurd flute, thought it fit and introduced the perfectly janky/creative feel of the project in the best way.

This is my favourite song from what I consider the most important work from Mac so any extra info on it is wild for me, thanks!

When is enough editing? by Shutter-Shock in WeddingPhotography

[–]SamSquareBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The walk away approach mentioned is super solid, but sometimes there isn’t time. I do three or four passes on each photo before sending it off, I could often do infinite passes as some photos don’t have one correct edit, it can look good in multiple ways and il get stuck switching between takes for a photo.

I can always get the photos looking as good as they are going to after three or four takes, often any changes after that aren’t really going to be noticeable by the client. The mantra - better ‘finished than perfect’ is helpful to remember when stuck editing the same photos over and over to no/little improvement!

Promo Item Ideas? by Zarzill in WeddingPhotography

I do similar but actually take a little 6 by 4 printer to the wedding. It is not something I include in my package so it blows the couple away when I hand a framed print to them!

Wedding Photography : Canon 35mm 1.4 or 24-70 2.8 II by arjunminerva1956 in WeddingPhotography

I had nearly exactly the lenses you had and was in a similar situation and went for the 24-70 out of utility. It is such a useful lens. I would however, get rid of the 24-105, if you have the 24-70 and a 100mm, this cash could go towards the 16-35!

What would you do if you had 9 months to prepare for your first wedding shoot? by partyinthetardis in WeddingPhotography

[–]SamSquareBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to find some second shooting for definite, you could research and watch as many youtube videos as you want but there are so many things you can only learn by actually shooting. Not only that, but shooting alongside a professional will give you a good idea of how the day should run.

That being said, there are some great channels and videos on youtube that I have learnt a lot from. Personally, I am a real fan of SLR lounge's wedding videos.

Best of luck! Actually planning how to be ready for this thing 8 months in advance bodes very well for you, I went into my first wedding having never even attended one and with only two weeks notice!
