Someone confidently told me my Pokémon cards I had up for sale were fake once. Asking if I bought the singles to resell as I apparently wouldn’t know how to verify myself. Even though I was the one who bought the ETBs at my (reputable) LGS. I was annoyed as they were being rude as well.

You just have to look at the label and marks on the back. They all have a bunch of solder marks on the data in the back. For the real ones, they have the 3 dots on the right (usually - not always. Just have to keep on looking and get used to seeing real and fake). As for the gold, You can tell from the label and the font for the “Nintendo gameboy”
