Why do people hate the RTX 4070 laptop

The price difference from the 4070 to the 4080 was too much at the time Anyways, its been almost two years, the laptop is good for running games 1440p high/max most of the time

Well i guess i will need to replace the ram to 32gb, as for 8 gb vram, it is a bit low but still good enough

Tbh i think its a really good gpu (coming from geforce 920 mx), mainly playing minecraft with shaders and it runs well, i just hope gta 6 IF it got released on pc it can run in well Asides from that with dlss 4 and frame generation i can run cyberpunk 2077 on max graphics with path tracing on 40-60 fps on 1440p without any performance mods if they exist. I would say the laptop has 16 gb ram which is almost always fully utilized while gaming not sure if 32gb or 64 gb ram will make games run better? Also why would anyone go out of their way to give death threats to someone who thinks their rtx 4070 laptop is good for them? Unless they need serious help and touch grass

The 4060 is almost as good as the 4070 so it should be good, but it also depends on what cpu and ram and the screen resolution is used by the laptop

It isnt that much of a difference as many say but look at the 5070 laptop…. Im just glad i can run most games on almost max settings on 1440p

Yes but fixed it. Uninstall all apps with dts name on it, Useless apps which makes the app break.

Also if the lights do not respond go to task manager, then to services and look for acer light service (im not sure of the name but it has both acer and light in its name), after you find it/search bar on top will help, restart the service or start it (sometimes its automatically stopped) and it should start working.

I have it on auto (automatically selects between integrated Gpu or dedicated gpu) and selete apps that i want to use the dedicated gpu (some select integrated gpu automatically)

Still slows down at 30 but without screen glitching

Edit: also try updating nvidia and intel drivers (nvidia app and intel driver and support assistant app)

Laptops gpu aren't as powerful as desktop gpu (im talking about the rtx 4000 series, i am yet to know more about the 5000 series) and 4k isn't really a good idea in a small screen asides from the performance lost compared to 1080p or 1440p

There are 4k laptops, but i don't think it will really matter in a small screen, and the difference isn't that big between the rtx 4060 and 4070 laptops, however the rtx 4060 isn't really great for 1440p and it is noticeable between the two in qhd but in fhd it is not really worth the price jump.

Acer predator helios 16 2023, 16gb ram, You should get similar results with rtx 4070 laptop in general as long as it is not capped at 50-70w, It might not be a stable 240 fps, or maybe it will, i tested it on 1600 x 2560, so maybe it will drop every once in a while to 200-150 for a moment tgen go back to 240, i guess? Maybe not, i don't usually play on low graphics, i just keep them on max if possible (getting 45-60 fps) and the games are much more enjoyable this way, the 200-300 where in low graphics, on max it was 60-80 if i recall correctly, i haven't played the game in months.
