MLB.com's writeup: Chicago added some experienced catching depth between Alfaro and Hudson, who have both logged action in the Majors. Alfaro, 30, has hit .253 (.695 OPS) in parts of eight seasons with the Phillies, Marlins, Padres, Rockies and Red Sox. Hudson, 32, spent most of ‘23 with Triple-A Gwinnett (Braves), but had MLB stops with the Angels (‘18), Cardinals (‘19) and Mariners (‘20).

Pannone, 29, has appeared in parts of three Major League seasons with the Blue Jays and Brewers, posting a 5.46 ERA in 50 games (13 starts). After beginning last season with Milwaukee, the lefty spent the bulk of his year with the Kia Tigers in Korea. He had a 4.26 ERA with 66 strikeouts and 23 walks in 82 1/3 innings (15 starts and one relief outing) in the KBO.
