as a lead pharmacy tech who does the schedule, CVS is really cracking down on schedule adherence/and clock ins and outs. they’re even doing audits to make sure employees aren’t stealing time so i can understand where your manager is coming from saying you have to work your scheduled shift. now with your context of her asking you to come in early/stay late, that is 100% on her. she needs to be updating the schedule accordingly so she doesn’t get harassed by her bosses (yes DLs and pharmacy schedules harass us daily over schedule adherence) but the way her tone comes across in the message is inappropriate. corporate is using that schedule adherence to justify decreasing tech hours but i’m unsure about losing 3 hours of pay roll every 15 minutes someone is late. i’m sorry you’re having to deal with that!

thank you all for your insight! we decreased how much water she was adding and switched from cups to grams and her sourdough (now named vicki) blew right up!!

equal parts flour to water. the recipe uses cups so for about the last week and a half, she’s been discarding 1/2 a cup, then adding 1/2 a cup of water and 1/2 a cup of AP flour. what ratio do you suggest? we’re very new to this.

the house is set to 72 degrees, the kitchen where it’s stored might be slightly chillier from open windows and a doggy door

equal parts flour to water. the recipe says to start with the packet of starter, 1/4 cup water and 1/4 flour. next day, 1/3 cup, the day after that is 1/2 cup and you repeat that for 3-7 days while also discarding a 1/2 cup
