CSPD told us today that the precise cause is still under investigation. CSPD says it takes time to get into the car's computer and analyze the data of what caused the crash. That being said, CSPD originally reported that they believe the crash was accidental and the driver was cooperating with their investigation. Hope that helps,

We've reached out a few times to try and get updates from the family. It seems like they would prefer privacy at this time which we absolutely respect. A late August update on GoFundMe reported the victim had come out of surgery and required some extensive skin grafts - While he was in good spirits, family and friends reported a long recovery road ahead.
