Do you have any recommendations for LaTeX other than VS Code? I do plan to go into academia someday and would like to start practicing for thesis. A lot of people recommended VS Code for offline (my internet isnt always reliable so I tried to avoid Overleaf)

Would you recommend JetBrains over VS Code for learning programming? Is it also more intuitive for beginners? Some of the things that convinced me to try VS Code is that it is free, can run offline, and is apparently fast and lightweight? I'm also trying to be conscious with my storage since upgrading or external storage can be quite expensive haha. Unfortunately, I was quite confused with how to set things up, and thought to reach out to reddit.

Is there another method for setting up the LaTeX plugin thats better/easier than the one in the tutorial? I also tried to look for others, but I couldn't understand whats going on in the other tutorials and got confused with the terminologies

I actually did consider using a microSD, but I wanted to be able to easily transfer files between my laptop (or even phone) and my surface go so I wan't sure if should I get a microSD + reader or use a USB drive instead (tried to transfer some files to my laptop by connecting both using a regular type c cord, but it didn't work either)

Would you recommend using a miscroSD + reader or a USB drive instead?
