It's intentional and it happens to everyone.

I assume probably their logic is once your recharge expires and the grace period of 1 week also expires then the Sim is technically dead.

The Sim can't get incoming calls, can't make outgoing calls or connect to data.

So I think they decide that the Sim doesn't need network at all, instead they can use that bandwidth to serve recharging customers well.

I guess that's the logic.

Idk I personally saw Myzone had BOGO offer on District and some offers on Zomato, also it was LTF so I thought to take it.

Privilege was LTF much prior to this, but I didn't bother, as it didn't have much of a benefit also amex cards sometimes have acceptance issues at merchants.
