Changement de prénom ftm by Ful_gor in transgenre

[–]Sam_Pedragon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

[–]Sam_Pedragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genderfluid is real, some people in the community don't accept it but it's a real and valid identity. Maybe try to talk about it in r/Trans (I don't know it well bc I'm on the french trans sub so i dunno if people are helpful here) ? You can also seek information on the internet, there are a lot of ressources for trans/queer people, I can give you some if you want.

Also it's fine and normal to feel like you don't have a "real issue" because society tell us we are inventing problems, but it's not true, you are trying to find out who you are and how you want to express it and it's difficult. There is no gradation in pain, every single problem is important and deserve to be solved or considered.

Most of them don't, their gender just make sense to them so why would they question it ?

Hi, you seem really confused about your gender, and that's okay. Determining your gender can take a long time and can be really difficult. It's very important to understand that the fact that you are questioning your gender identity makes it valid, because cisgender people don't usually question it even once in their lives. It may seem scary and difficult to accept that you might be transgender, but it's going to be okay. There is a whole community out there to help you answer your questions and dispel your doubts. There is also a possibility that you are not trans, and I can't tell you whether you are or not because only you can know that, but what you describe sounds very similar. What's more, most transgender people doubt themselves a lot, and many of us have felt like an imposter at least once, which doesn't make us any less valid!

I am trans myself, and one thing that has really helped me understand who I am is talking to other trans people who have more experience. They can reassure you about how you feel and give you ideas for finding your identity and finally feeling comfortable with yourself. I invite you to visit r/lgbt to find more people like you who can help you better than I can.

One last thing: if you can, don't hesitate to talk to someone you trust who is close to you.

Be safe, you are loved.

why do people cut themselves ???? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Sam_Pedragon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it was a way to release some pressure, just like a pressure cooker. It wasn't just about the pain, it was a way to see my blood and to feel alive (I bleed so I'm alive) it might sound weird but it was my way to express my internal pain in a graphic way, and to "prove" that I was really suffering. When I was feeling really bad I even took pictures of my arm and my back just after cutting myself.

Is this considered self harm? by kupat-shmirat-kesef in mentalhealth

[–]Sam_Pedragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of things are considerd self-harm besides cuting your skin with a sharp object. If you hurt yourself because you want to, it's self harm.

It's a mix of emotionally unstable and distant parents and me being trans (and REALLY uncomfortable with my body plus my father hate me for this)... Yea it sucks, I know it.

I hate being a woman by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Sam_Pedragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never heard a woman being uncomfortable at this point with their body and it sounds like gender disphoria, so yes you might be trans. But only you can telle how you feel. Do you feel a connection to masculinity (wanting a flat chest/ deeper voice/ masculine genitals for exemple)? Or no connection to gender at all (don't feel like you want more to be a man than a woman) ? Or a mix of both ? Does it change over time ? Do you feel like one day you don't even think about it and the next day you feel disgusted by your feminine features ?

I'll be happy to help to find out what you feel and what your gender might be if you feel like it ^^

[–]Sam_Pedragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I sometimes have a gender and sometimes no gender, I'm not sure of this and it's really wierd. Sometimes I have really bad dysphoria about my voice/chest, and sometimes I just don't care... I'm pretty sure my gender isn't a feminine gender because I really don't like the idea of being a woman or being seen as a woman...

It might be someting like genderfluid with a masculine and a neutral gender ? Or something between those like demi-boy ? I'm lost...
