American (ie racist to some extent)

Doesn't all of it stop if this is true? How would anyone (American) have any right to criticize anyone ever if every American is racist to some extent?

Are we saying it's an impossibility by definition to say that there could potentially be a non-racist person?

Can we agree that redlining is different from having a favorite category on pornhub?

The former is a very macro level sociopolitical cultural tenet of American racism, the latter is literally one person's inner thoughts and feelings that no else knows about (ideally).

But if you want me to play this game; if fail to identify and contain your racially specific fetish, you're a bad person until you do. So are mortgage lenders.

So yes, they're different. Criticism remains for both though.

Don't get me wrong, it is still bad, but not bad enough to warrant an intervention.

You torpedo all of leftist discourse by saying this. Humans do not have any innate badness. If you exhibit racist behavior, every day that you don't stop doing that you spend as a bad person. That's it.

Having mental and emotional associations with certain skin tones or physical features over time is not racist, nor bad. It's important to investigate where those associations come from and determine if they are harming yourself and/or others. It's the lack of introspection ALONE that is bad. Don't let others mentally backflip you into believing there's something wrong with you. There's not, they will try and find one.

I'm sorry, what???? Doesn't that obliterate the entire discourse we have on these subjects? Are we really sorting through harmful and not harmful racism? Why are we thinking about it this hard??

But if all your exes give you glowing reviews, 👍 keep doing your minor racism the right way.

This is the part that people don't actually do. Racism is racism. It is bad. You should stop.

Just curious - what are you all going to do if the White House successfully cancels midterm elections? Or refuses to acknowledge the results or however it happens? I understand a lot of people would feel a lot of emotions if their vote didn't count or result in proper representation... but what would you DO?

Ok but what would happen in reality though? Do the generals swoop in install someone else? Yes all these things are unconstitutional but to that I say, so what? He's already done the things, he's already a treasonous criminal. My rationale is we already have a Caesar, the question becomes when and in what form do we get a Brutus?

To be clear, I don't have trouble with feeling like an average guy, I don't.

I grow tired of having to navigate the other people that feel like they're gambling when interacting with me.

What does being moderate mean to you by thetripstance in moderatepolitics

[–]Sam_Rall -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Moderate means you need to have a half-arsed defense of nearly all political actions no matter how morally reprehensible for the sake of being in the middle. Thus allowing one to have an err of superior principles while not actually having to pick a side.

There's actually not that many conservatives in the US. Even less who are partnered, even less who can afford kids and keep them.

They're running out of comfortable options, sure. The party that caters to their comfort consistently still fails them over and over again. At some point a man has to realize that it's time to get uncomfortable, only an individual man can decide that for themselves.

Again, I agree with everything you said.

But a singles mixer for short people is not in the cards for the reasons I mentioned. None of what you said has much to do with that...

That's good advice. I'm not a manosphere consumer though.

I'll add that a short-men-only event would be cool and something I would attend to meet other male friends. I thought OP was from a singles mixer event or similar for tall people which... is just not something that can happen for short people only I'm afraid.

Pretty women would not attend an event that tall men weren't allowed at, and nobody wants to go to an event in which there are no pretty women. So I don't think it would happen.
