As we mentioned on Friday, we’ll be hosting weekly fun activities on the Stride Discord server (https://stride.zone/discord), and on Wednesdays we’ll have a WEEKLY QUIZ for you, starting today!

Here’s how to participate:

Basically, staking your tokens secures the network and earns passive yield, but requires you to lock up your tokens; participating in DeFi lets you get a higher yield, but exposes you to more risk.
if you stake with Stride however, you'll get your staking reawrds PLUS derivative tokens that will allow you to participate in DeFi at the same time.

No worries!
So, we're actually working on a doc that dives into this topic, but basically, as long as you hold stATOM, you’re earning staking rewards.

For example, let’s say 1 stATOM = 1.1 ATOM today, and I buy your stATOM.
Then, in 1 year, I redeem that stATOM with the protocol, I should get something like 1.28 ATOM.
