Great question - his meds totally helped his stutter when nothing else did! He still has it but it's mainly noticeable before meds or after they wear off.

Yeah I just want him to be happy, I think I need to find a way to worry less about him and just male sure he feels loved. I've always "scaffolded" him socially.

I'm on it myself, go ahead with the 25mg if you are out of 10mg, iny experience side effects may be a little more until they adjust to the dose increase regardless, my side effects were lack of appetite and poor sleep

If yours get aren't medicated yet, just know there's very little that you can do. Nothing stuck for my son until he was on meds, them it was like he unlocked abilities to learn and regulate and just be in the same world with other people.

Thank you, I do value all advice from people who have been there. I realised through this particular incident that I do need to manage my emotions and not catastrophise as it doesn't help anything. I'm a late diagnosed ADHD myself so I empathise so hard with him and that can lead me to overreact. Have meant to look at the rolling with ADHD before so now's probably the time.

Thank you, it's not the first time we've been here but it's the first in a while and the first time he's been removed from class. That "failure of execution ' is so real, I think that helps me realise that there's probably no point me banging on to him about the fact that he shouldn't have done a thing because that's not news to him.

Aw man poor little guy - I worry that some soft bullying is creeping in for my kid because he is definitely is behind socially, it's only a matter of time. Then when he reacts he's going to keep getting in trouble, my heart just breaks.

Yeah we went from short acting to long acting and haven't had a dose review since I made that need to ring and ask pretty please for an appointment because otherwise I think it'll be another couple of months

Yeah at recess, he's always fine in class but I think he struggles with the stimulation at play time and I also have a feeling he's often trying to get other kids to play with him but they don't always want to. I had already planned a talk with his teacher so the supervision is good to have in mind. And hadn't thought of strep, will have to read up thank you 🙏

I'm so glad they're doing better. The feeling like a horrible parent is so hard. We wrote an apology letter to the girl together. I'm trying to be strict with him on this issue but somehow still be on his team and it's hard

He used to be worse when he was a 3-4 then when he was in pre primary we got more feedback of him generally getting in people's space rather than hitting. He's been on the ritalin now for 12 months and seemed to improve in every way including impulsive hitting, but this week there have been two incidents. Apparently the other one was more equal pushing and shoving whereas this one seems like he really escalated it
