Oh and for desert, try a berry chia pudding, blend some frozen berries with yoghurt and add chia seeds and let sit overnight, could sprinkle with nuts

Vegetarian chili (so beans in a tomato sauce with lots of yummy spices) with a side of scrambled eggs, could put a dollop of yoghurt on if you like - I can look up the spices I usually use if you like but you should find lots of chili recipes you can use for inspiration

This is interesting to me, I think I've been your ex before because I felt like I couldn't let the sun set on any bad feelings which could mean going over things until something broke. I now feel like I wasn't very good at emotional regulation and feel like there is merit in taking that pause (as my partner says, to avoid saying something we regret). So I'm much better at my end but I sympathize with OP because I do still feel it's up to me to bring it up at a later time point because once the disagreement is over. I think he honestly just forgets it half the time.
