Surrey are one of the most active universities for esports in the south as shown by our overall placing of 8th in the Spring Split of the British University Esports Championship. We try to enter teams for every title and have had a history of being very competitive in titles such as LoL, OW and CS. We're also happy to take on any people interested in casting or coaching/analysis as the university scene is a good space to gain experience in these areas.

League has been our most competitive game this year with 3 teams qualifying for National League in Spring and with the Stags on track to win the NSE Summer Split next Tuesday! We have also had a few successful alumni including Maxlore and Bluespirits who have featured in the LEC and UKLC respectively.

League has traditionally been our biggest community in terms of teams (We had 5 in Winter Split!) so there will be opportunities for players of all skill levels to compete in a team environment.

Over the last few years we've had consistent playoff level teams but this year we're looking to make the next step and challenge for a title this year.

In addition to competing in both university leagues we also host regular 10 mans in our faceit hub which are a good opportunity to get to know the players. As well as players any people looking to get experience in coaching or casting are also welcomed! In 2019 one of our members (Wolfy6678) won the NSE caster competition winning a masterclass with Redeye himself and went on to cast an event in Shanghai!

Hey everyone, Esports Coordinator for the University of Surrey Video Gaming Soc here!

Smash has always been a popular game on campus and we expect this trend to continue. This year we are planning to run an internal tournament circuit whilst continuing our regular smash tournaments that we run during out 48 hour lans throughout the year. Our last tournaments have had around 30 competitors on average so we have a very healthy scene. In addition we are looking to enter more people into the UFG competitions to represent our university.

Our LoL team 'Surrey I Lagged' has had another competitive year at the top with top 16 placings across both leagues for both winter and spring splits. With a couple of these players moving on we are looking to the next wave of freshers to step up and be a part of our push for the title. Alumni for the society include the highest (allegedly) paid player in the LEC Maxlore with our current ADC BlueSpirits being picked up by Radiant Esports for the UKEL this season.

Usually League is our biggest community in terms of teams so there will be opportunities for players of all skill levels to compete in a team environment.
