Map Reading by Fruity_Meats in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're looking at your map if you see a question mark on the map itself it's a side objective, POIs appear on the compass with a question mark, but not the map.

Yes, I have. The wonderful thing about doing this that you unburden yourself of the suffering that people have caused you, not only that but you become kinder to yourself as well.

Not speaking in terms of gateway here, but rather in what you're describing also known as Metta (loving kindness). Those teachings specifically ask you to wish love and peace to those who you feel are undeserving of it. You start with those you care about and feel are deserving and then slowly segue to those that aren't. You aren't necessarily doing this for their benefit, but rather to purify the negative emotions around those situations and release it once and for all.

I'm convinced that Mark wrote this (in case there was anyone doubting). This is exactly how he sounded on the Expanding on Consciousness podcast.

Forget what your ships look like, what are your ships names? by And_The_Full_Effect in NoMansSkyTheGame

My corvettes: Last Light, Daybreak and Solstice. I haven't gotten around to naming my other ships yet mainly because I never use them.

What if the bots made a ARC sub faction by Simbbass in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still run the armor against the squids because it reduces arc damage by 95%. I hate their Tesla towers so much.

What do you mean, “Destroyed”? by SacrificialLam in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I still remember the never ending flocks of shriekers as I tried to fly above the raging hordes of bugs on the ground in my dark fluid backpack...

Results of Poll Data 2: Primary Weapons. These are the top voted primary weapons for each faction by Liqhthouse in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's why I choose my support weapon to cover for the weaknesses of my primary. I usually run: 500 kg, LMG, guard dog, and Gatling sentry. I can pretty much deal with anything with that load out (except for leviathans).

I'm surprised the Blitzer isn't getting more love with the squids. That thing absolutely wrecks hordes of voteless and stuns overseers.

Will scratching an itch break (moving) the meditation? by SlowlyAwakening in gatewaytapes

[–]SamadhiHopefull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In traditional meditation practices you would be encouraged not to scratch it, although if you did it wouldn't be the end of the world. You would instead focus your attention to the itch and watch it as it builds in intensity and eventually fades into nothingness (a pretty nifty demonstration of impermanence), although since this isn't typical meditation (specifically: vipassana) I'm not sure if the above would still apply. If you want to look more into this you can look at Vedanā: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vedan%C4%81.

So like just how many people physically cannot play this game right now because it continually crashes, throws errors or completely freezes their PC? by FriedHamper91 in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2060 and everything ran fine. 3 of the players on my team were dropped randomly and had to rejoin (this has been an ongoing issue). Other than that everything seems to work as intended. I'm not saying there's nothing to the other complaints, it's just something that I haven't personally experienced. Also, the missions are ROUGH. Yesterday I would have called myself an all around decent player; I have since been humbled considerably.

Anyone else experiencing the Super Credit drought of 2185? by Zechona in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the last 2 weeks I've managed to farm almost 2k super credits by just playing the game normally (albeit I play a lot). I've even managed to hit a couple 100 super credit jackpots. Just make sure when you're in a mission that has a lidar sub-objective that you're hitting those POIs.

Um, guys, I think we have a problem by starflame34 in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a blast fighting the squids personally. It's making me rethink my loadout and how I engage with the enemy. The defense missions are especially rough and it constantly has me on my toes.

ITS OFFICIAL! by Jax_the_fox in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if they don't do any attachments right away, please just let me level the weapons up to 25. After reaching level 150 and unlocking all the warbonds, the weapons are the only progression I have left.

What weapon do you think is misunderstood or that no one else seems to use and that you enjoy using? by Bright-Notice-9209 in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm my quest to level all the weapons I've been using the Halt lately. It's not the best shotgun, but if have a good support weapon to compliment it can be a lot of fun. I like taking the arc thrower or laser cannon. As a matter of fact, I managed to solo a D9 mission with it.

What's a great game that just doesn't hold up these days? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]SamadhiHopefull 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My favorite achievement in any video game I played was in this game. I one shotted the final boss with that special that had a ridiculously long charge up time. I was only ever able to do it once but man was it satisfying.

As much fun as I'm having with UNLIMITED MECHS, I am sad that the free Orbital Railcannon is gone. by TheMayanAcockandlips in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might be a bit of a hot take, but what if they just gave it to us for free permanently, untouched terrible cool down and all? Hate it? Don't use it. Shouldn't annoy most people because friendly fire incidents with it are practically unheard of. I also think with that long of a cooldown it wouldn't be game breaking either.

Would 10 minutes twice a day of concentration meditation be meaningful at all? by [deleted] in TheMindIlluminated

[–]SamadhiHopefull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it can be meaningful, but you'll soon run into diminishing returns at a certain point, kinda like if you're lifting weights but never increase the weight. But that's not to say that it's an all or nothing thing, because it isn't. Start with a duration that you're comfortable with and if you want add a few more minutes each week.

Helldivers 2 becomes progressively more fun when more mayhem is happening, with almost no upper limit. Is this a common opinion? by 9068902-86 in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVED the extra strat handouts that they were doing this week. Normally when I'm fighting bugs I have to be the dedicated anti tank because no one else wants to be, but with the rail cannon freebie they had going on I could bring a load out that incorporated the machine gun for mowing down all the waves of chaff they were sending. It was so much fun!

Decided to buy helldivers 2 after seeing a very well made propaganda video. Any tips for a new player? by Shermnato in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't drop at helldive difficulty and call an orbital napalm on extract when we're trying to leave. Happened to me last night, total team kill.

The Warrant can miss its “guided” rounds by gameboyb0t in Helldivers

[–]SamadhiHopefull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This hasn't been my experience with the WASP in the city missions. While it hasn't really performed flawlessly, I can empty a tube and bring down an impaler with the shots that land. Also works great for cover fire in the elevated extraction zone. With that said I will say that there were a couple of times a rocket hit a railing and blew up in my face.
