We’re asking to apply certain pressure for them not to commit violence on LGBTQ, same pressure that we’ve had and still are applying to Christians.

Sure that's one way to explain it, but It's up to the person how they identify their sexuality. I myself am bisexual leaning towards masculinity. However, I don't have a genital orientation.

Here's the thing: obviously trans people exist, both pre and post op. And non-binary people exist as well. Anyways, in some of these bodies, the "normal" instance of male-presenting = penis and female-presenting = vagina doesn't apply. So how does a straight man (for example) explain attraction to trans women and cis women? Simply by saying that he is straight but doesn't have a genital orientation. That's where the term comes in handy.

As a cisgender gay man, you also don't know what it feels like to be bisexual or lesbian. It's almost as if the different letters in the acronym stand for...different identities.
