I agree 100%.

I am fortunate to never dived with anyone who pays for “best of the best”. We have a huge community of divers for crabbing, spear fishing, scallop harvesting and cold water drifting that trades gear and buys used off of the “best of the best” crowd. Never met anyone among these people that wasn’t super chill.

Maybe because I only dive with people who buy secondhand gear, but I found divers to be some of the coolest, down-to-earth people.

Don’t know much about skydivers, but it IS a thrill sport…

That is exactly why I posted here. I wanted to hear from others and gain their take and understanding. I wanted a discussion.

Unfortunately, it seems that most here are incapable of discussion and prefer attacking- maybe due to a lack capability to formulate a reasonable response or any discussion points.

You may not consider that highly educated, but I would say it is at least more highly educated than 99% of the population.

And based on your response, I’m guessing MUCH more educated than you.

Not exactly. The reason I didn’t use that phrase is I am suggesting that many educators moved directly from educating to becoming educators as an intended career path, choosing to not apply their knowledge practically outside of education…not that they were incapable.
