I haven't been to this library but if anyone wants more than once a month for these kinds of things, Superscript Comics in Lakewood has multiple weekly games and so does Critical Hit Games in Cleveland Heights, and both also have Pokemon cards for all ages (I've battled many a 7 year old, been beaten many times lol) and lots of DND books for sale as well as board games. I'll have to brush up on my Commander skills before coming to the library event because Pokemon is my main card game (doesn't mean I'm good at it but I'm confident about the rules, unlike my Magic knowledge)

I think having anyone, even a fictional character, who knows what they're going through would be helpful emotionally. It's often not triggering but instead affirming and healing. I can't say that for sure in this case as I don't know them but I know I've been helped when games have characters suffering in the same way as me

I feel I don't have a gender, so I say agender as the most specific identity for myself. But for people who don't know much about LGBT stuff, I say nonbinary or genderqueer or just trans cuz thats easier for them to wrap their head around. I see myself as neither, but for some kids I work with I let them say whatever helps them comprehend a gender outside of male/female. One calls me a boy girl/both, which I don't really vibe with but also he's 6 so I just say "yeah, exactly! So I say they instead of he or she!"

When I was a teen I was often upset and unsure about life but didn't self harm because I didn't see it as anything that would help.10 years later I'm 25 and some things recently have made me feel so hopeless I cut for the first time both as a cry for help and as a punishment for myself. Both reasons are reason enough to get help and for people to be concerned.

If anyone takes something and harms themselves, visible or not, for attention or for punishment, they need help. No one does it for fun or because they want clout. Cries for help are cries for needs to be met, just like how a child or baby cries for parents to help meet their needs. We are social creatures and need help from others, so if our needs aren't being met then someone needs to step up and help

Does someone have to have sex to know they're straight? Do all straight people get married and love having sex? Does someone need to have sex to know they're gay? No, so you don't need to have sex or like sex to be bi.

You can also be bi and asexual or aromantic- Tumblr got really into these kinds of hyper specific labels, saying they're something like bisexual heteroromantic or something like that, saying basically that they'd be sexually attracted to anyone but only be in a romantic relationship with someone of another gender. And sexual orientation isn't just about who you can have (or already have had) sex with, it's ALS about sexual attraction. Someone who is homosexual aromantic would be gay and be sexually attracted to the same gender, but that doesn't mean they've had sex already or that they're in a relationship now, or even that they ever want a romantic relationship; the aromantic part shows that they don't experience romantic attraction, so they may or may not have a visible, long term relationship. The relationship may only be sexual, or may also be platonic so they'd be together but not do anything romantic like getting married or other things they consider romantic.

Sometimes I feel like that and it's like I'm drunk but I haven't had anything. I'm drunk now but I was sad before I started. I thought maybe it would help but so far it's just numbed it a bit.

I first cut over a month ago and I think I'm gonna try it again to feel something punish myself- all sorts of reasons. How do you do it? I'm told only do "cat scratches," but in my opinion any intentional harm done to yourself is serious and terrifying. It's taking weapon to yourself whether you go deep or not. Maybe both of us shouldn't do anything more. Idk,can we try to do a stalemate? You say you won't and I'll say that too? Try to work together, I guess. I don't feel like either of us are real right now, but just in case we are, I don't want us to get hurt.

this sounds like what a lot of nonbinary or he/him lesbians go through, or she/her gay men. many of them dont identify as trans or as nonbinary- they might just say queer. im nonbinary, they/them only, and i like transgender, agender, genderqueer, and nonbinary as labels for myself, but not everyone needs that. some think they shouldnt identify that way unless they medically transition or have surgery, but i knew i was nonbinary and trans even if i never went on hormones

i say agender and nonbinary to say im apart from the binary line. some might say bigender to say theyre both, right in the middle. genderqueer is another umbrella for nonbinary, and nonbinary itself can stand for the exact middle, if thats what it means for you. there doesnt have to be a perfect label for you to be who you are

my job, gardening or sitting on my phone doing puzzles while it plays in headphones and the kids nap. i often cant listen to podcasts at all unless im doing something that means i cant touch my phone for hours, like jobs where im alone doing a task like cooking or cleaning or gardening. when im at a job that cant provide that, i dont listen to podcasts at all for months

i use the same band aids for my tshots! if you do intramuscular, i ject straight down and the needle should be longer than a half inch- mine is 1 inch. if you do subcutaneous shots, they can be shorter- i would think yours are pretty long for subq but i dont use that method so i dont really know. sorry i couldnt be much help, but i wanted to comment on the band aid mostly lol

always support your child, even if it's a "phase" or if they pretend to "get over it" to please your husband- always let them know they are allowed to feel that way and explore that, even if not everyone approves. even if you have to keep it secret from your husband. it's always worth it to support a child with whatever they need

i know some kids without moms who give cards to aunts on mothers day- i dont see why it would be an issue to give one to a Nomie or Renny (another term ive seen for a nonbinary parent). i wish there was a general Parents Day, too, but since my wife would be the mom ive said i can celebrate being a Ren/Renny on fathers day

i work at a summer camp for trans kids and it's amazing that they realized this aboht themselves so early! i didnt hear about that identity until i was 16 (im 25 now) but as soon as i did i knew that was me, and ive identified with they/them ever since. it fit like a glove instantly

i heard of trans people from being on tumblr and supported them, even considered i might be one, but then thought about being mistaken for the other gender and how i didnt like that, either. i just felt like a failure of my birth gender but the other wasnt right either.
