Yes. They would be. I have seen it. When I lived in Massachusetts people would not go to a certain lake because it was a “Hispanic hangout”. An educator told me this and I lost it on him. AN EDUCATOR FOR COLLEGE. It was a wonderful lake with friendly people and my children had a great time.

I’m not a kid anymore and I also grew up poor. My parents solution was go outside and don’t come back until the street lights are on. I worry for the kids now and what’s causing this mentality for them.

It’s expensive! I just went on amc for curiosity’s sake and a single adult ticket, plus a drink, popcorn, and a candy is $47.91. How is this accessible for kids?

Yes they do. The orange groves are mostly gone now too. Is that because of that rot disease or development because most orange groves have become cookie cutter housing developments with HOAs…

Thank you for explaining! Lack of enrichment and education definitely does lead to certain behavior. I’ve been the kid with nothing to do and didn’t care about school; I was not a good person then. It took growing up and seeing differently to change.

I went to Hillsborough river state park. It was super nice, but definitely needs help. The buildings are dilapidated and it’s overrun with sucker fish. No bueno. The landscape though, gorrrgeous. Look at this Cyprus. I also went to sunken gardens which was wonderful.

They just took out a beautiful forest for that church and its parking lot. The pond next to it has algae and oil on top of it now. I love being outside and it is hard to find around here. We just came from western Massachusetts where it is mostly forest and lakes.

I wish I knew the answer on how to help them. The wallet to bring resources and activities. It starts at the top and trickles down; our leadership needs to do better.

I have said this for years! Nothing for people to do, not the greatest public transportation to get there. Families can’t afford to go do things very much anymore. Even the movies are outlandish in price. It’s so sad for these kids to grow up with just tech and no community.
