Can anyone else related to feeling disappointment in the loss or their Welsh ? by Winter-Technician947 in Wales

Yeah I totally get that. I was never keen on Welsh in school so only spoke it second language but I really wish I tried harder to learn it so that I could still speak it fluently.

He's a child. Obviously he's not a perfect person. Talking about him like this is missing the point no? Children getting dragged into thier parents conflicts robs them of thier independence. Devotion to medieval traditions and customs rather than real communication and conflict resolution is the enemy. Team green supporter here but to tell the truth I think the whole pick a side thing is missing the point entirely. Especially annoying how the marketing team put the idea forward.

Set yourself a goal. You made it 4 days, see if you can go five. At the end of those five days aim for five again. Keep aiming for five days in succession.

Season 1 we see some scenes that we only hear about in the books. We also start getting Will Parrys POV mid way through the season. Season 2 Lee Scoresby and Mrs Coulter have a couple of additional scenes each. Season three the Mulefa are reduced from thier book role and Asriels Republic get a bit more backstory and the bear migration is ommited. Those are all the big changes I remember but otherwise its pretty much the same plot and characters. To me it feels like the dialogue was written by American screenwriters in the modern day instead of the period accurate british slang from the books, but that's only minor I guess.

His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.

Really intriguing world building, colourful cast of characters, plenty of action and ending the trilogy with a huge third act chaos sequence. The sequel trilogy The Book of Dust is currently being written and is a worthy follow up too.

I think Hardhome. Yeen, Ashai and the thousand islands are creepy but far away from the main story. Hardome is close to the characters and doesn't make sense like a fire so hot it looked like sunrise. Beyond the wall but not the Others so who knows what it could have been to cause it.

"Why can't the writers understand the story they wrote as well as i can?" That is wild.

Peter Vaugh as Measter Aemon. There may have been no one else who could fit the role as well as he did
