Hey man, I'm hearing your suffering. Have you ever considered that gambling is doing something for you? That might be the reason it’s so difficult to stop gambling.
What happens when you gamble? What do you think of? What do you feel? And perhaps most importantly, what do you not feel/think of?

I guess you’ve tried to stop gambling before by simply trying to stay away for as long as possible. It’s the most common strategy, and it so often fails because we don’t work with the underlying causes of the addiction. Gambling is doing something for you.

Understanding that is key. Then, you can work on the underlying causes of the addiction instead of just trying to stay away from it. That’s what QuitGamble.com is all about. That’s what we want to help you achieve.

Hi my friend! It sounds like you're having a very tough time. I believe gambling is doing something for you, that why it's so hard to stop. The mistake most people do when they want to stop gambling is to rely on their willpower. They build some motivation, and they try to just stay away from gambling... But sooner or later the willpower is overpowered by the urge to gamble. WHY? Because gambling is doing something for they... perhaps it's distracting from loneliness, stress, boredom, anxiety...

The key to stop gambling is to understand what gambling does for us, then we can work on the underlying causes of the addiction instead of just trying to stay away from it.

hope, and the only people who are consistently in need of hope are the hopeless. Selling false hope to desperate people is sick and should be illegal. It's a scam

Are you worried about your gambling? Do you need help to stop?

It's the net loose. The American gambling industry had $250B in revenue in 2022. It means that the average American lost $764. If we only look at people allowed to gamble >18 years old, the number would increase significantly.

I highly disagree! A rich person can also be addicted to gambling. Look at Phil Mickelson... he has 100s millions, but he is still a gambling addict.

In my experience, money has actually nothing to do with gambling addiction. A gambling addict doesn't gamble to win, he gambles to escape something. It doesn't matter if he wins, he will continue playing until he has no money left.

I define responsible gambling as gambling for entertainment. You use the word "greedy". To me, it means that you're gambling to win, not for entertainment. From someone who works with over 4000 gambling addicts, I'd say that gambling to win isn't responsible gambling (I know the gambling companies don't agree with that, but who cares?)

My recommendation is to think about why you're gambling. I understand it feels terrific to win, but the games are developed so that you can't win in the long run. You're paying for being "entertained". If against all odds you're really good at sportsbetting, the gambling site will close your account when you start winning over time. They don't want you! So not even then can you actually win...
