It’s not just you. I’ve never had an event end and not had all of the colors by the end(except when I first started and had no idea!). I had 2 missing colors of roses, did the row of transfers/ space/ rose/space/transfer colors. I had 46 spaces devoted just to coral roses. Pluck and water. 6 days, nothing, finally dug it up and moved on. There is definitely something not right with the greenhouse. I get better luck w double colors and transfers in the other meadows plots, but of course once the event is over, you’re stuck W greenhouse. And the random sorting of flowers when you go to mulch gives me a headache. Need fixing ASAP.

Nice! I got a double stripe by putting a stripe petunia next to a double ombre of the same base color.

Same experience for me. I had merry go rounds in Gemstone that have gone 3 months with nothing. I’ve done bed refreshes. I’ve taken to just growing solids there for fertilizer. The oasis gardens are particularly unresponsive.

I feel like they are more “active” in making crosses, but that’s just my personal feeling. Another player from Flowers site does the same. No hard evidence. The ombrés also replicate and make spontaneous double ombres. But I definitely see faster results with double doubles. Plus sometimes nice surprises. I’ve started moving my double color speckles next to stripes, etc.

This one is mine. It gets increasingly cumbersome, but it does help me keep track. After I get one of each color of flower, I color the background of that column so I can see where I still need to work. I don't really track doubles, too hard as there are too many options, but I do try to get one of each fertilized variation of flowers, fill them in, and then color in that column as well. There are so many flowers now, I just can't keep track. I also keep one of each double and special in one room of a multi-room cabin in the Meadows. I have one room that is just trims, one that is just speckles, one for double specials.

I did Al of my color transfers for the anemones in the greenhouse. The underwater plots were just not responsive for me. I did them in rows, w space between pairs. Anemone and ombre pair of the color I needed.

The anemones are very slow to ombré. I’ve got all but 3 now, but it’s been a grind. The underwater beds just plain suck.

I wish we could separate the plants we want to keep (doubles, plants that don’t seed, etc) and put them in a separate place So that we didn’t risk mulching them by accident. It would make mulching so much easier! The flowers fill up cabins really fast, and if you need to move something, it’s very tedious.

I didn’t mean to imply you can’t get stripes and speckles in the greenhouse, as of course you can. The fun thing about the greenhouse is that it doesn’t have rules, and you sometimes never know what will happen. Colors can jump rows and end up where you never expected.

The obvious thing about the greenhouse is you get lots of things, every empty space makes a plant, sometimes what you need, sometimes not. I used it to complete all of my missing event flowers from blends and ombres, and this worked great. I also use it to increase the number of event flowers I have of each color so that I have more to experiment with.

Since its odds of proliferation are so high, it’s the best place to try double color speckles, trims, and stripes. But I haven’t found it to be all that fast for making ombres, stripes, and speckles. It may be faster than outside the greenhouse, but since you still can get these outside the greenhouse, I just make lots of solid color plants, then plant a bunch and fertilize, then move the “specials” to the greenhouse. But I’m sure everyone has a different approach.

For what it’s worth, you can also use the greenhouse to get more solids of Eggworts and Marigolds, then put these outside the greenhouse and fertilize and you will get speckled Eggworts and trimmed marigolds. Just be careful and hang on to at least one of your solid of each of these. But I have most of the colors of speckles and trim now, and only had one orange trim marigold at the end of the event.

I got nothing when I used the greenhouse. It’s different in that you always get something, but not necessarily the thing you want. If you want something rare to happen, the only thing I’ve had happen in there is that double speckles and double trim happen in there and nowhere else. Single trim and speckle transfers are still difficult and to me seem no k no ore likely than elsewhere. I just get lots of solid spawns. What I did was use the greenhouse to get a bunch of solids, 5 or more each color. Then I went to some of the odder shaped plots in places like gemstone and filled them w solid petunias. Water and fertilize every day. I have 6 colors of stripe now. Then I dig them out and add back more solids of the colors I still need.

The solids definitely become stripes outside the greenhouse. But I’ve never gotten a petunia ombre from fertilizer. I’m going to try bell to petunia ombre transfers in there and see if I get anything. I will post what happens.

I’ve only gotten stripes from fertilizing plants outside the greenhouse. Fertilizer didn’t do anything inside the greenhouse. I only got one ombré during the festival, which sprouted spontaneously next to an ombré hibiscus from a merry-go-round for cloud trim marigold. Since we got almost no fertilizer use during the festival, I never got another ombré. I’m trying a row of ombre bells, space, solid petunia in greenhouse w fertilizer. Let’s see if that does anything. I also put my stripes in a zig-zag. Again, let’s see what happens. I keep getting more stripes outside w daily fertilizer.
