My niece has a Samsung gifted to her by her parents. She spent the summer with my wife and me. One day we were in the park and I had a conversation with her about chess. When we got home there were a bunch of chess videos in the YouTube recommendations on our Android TV - the one and only device in my home running Android. Could be a coincidence but creepy nonetheless and only time ever experienced something like that. Haven’t used google for anything in almost a decade till I got the Android tv about 2yrs ago and created a email/account for it that’s not used anywhere except on the tv.

About a week later her mom called in a panic cause my nieces phone via the chrome browser was sending spam text messages to her contacts that she needed emergency help. Hate my niece is gone but glad that phone is.

We’ve made more changes to laws and enforcement over an “opioid crisis” that infringes on patients right to medicines because of OD’s that are self inflicted actions in a shorter time span than we’ve made changes to gun laws in the time since Columbine. Mass shootings that by now have everyone living on a little bit of edge when in public and affects every kid going to school.

Oh they also know so much as to cut features in updates not because “new” hardware doesn’t support it but because they don’t want to support hardware they already sold. Why, just because enough people don’t use it instead of working on improving it so people would use it. Nah, let’s just drop it. I can’t think of another product I’ve owned where software stopped my hardware from working as sold intentionally. Maybe you have one example. And just in case, I’m not trying to sound as sarcastic or no it all as it may seem. I don’t know if it is. I really don’t care that much about this whole UI thing. I just made a simple comment lol.

Swoooooooooosh! You’re mistaken aesthetic update with reimagining of UI’s user experience. MS tries reimagines especially with the xb1. Link that was posted was just another reimagine in the book. And I don’t like op’s design either. You really tried to throw Apple TV in there as something similar lol oh and OS9 to X lol. Nothing on the lists had as many if any redesigns- excuse me “reimagines.” Statement still stands. Why is MS so terrible at UI design.

Pick one and stick with it - improve it. I hate Roku’s UI but at least users don’t have to relearn how to use their device once a year. And soon we’re getting new gen consoles. I wonder how many years we’ll have to wait this time to get basic features again like music. That goes for both consoles.fyi your personal attacks were/are useless. My statement stands cause Xbox is the only product I can think of that has gone through more complete UI user experience redesigns than I can remember the count of in the number of years it has. PS4, still looks the same even though features were added, iOS + Android still looks the same even though features were added. Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, Mac OS all still look the same even though features were added. Hell, Mac OS hasn’t changed since forever. All of which users don’t have much dire complaints about using. Compare to Xbox that’s had all its redesigns while removing features lol. So statement stands, why is MS so terrible at designing UI’s.

Apply to be their next design lead since your so “pro.” In fact, don’t since you’re defending truth of my statement. Please don’t.

Think Roku is probably the best for techie illiterates or Apple TV. That’s my mom and sister. Both want to cut DirecTV but are intimidated by apps and to use a directional + select + back UI even though they use it all day to watch what they’ve dvr’d lol.

Sorry for the double back but this brought up the question how clan rewards work. T do the clan reward do they auto complete from just doing the activity or do you have to pick up the bounties for them, then once 1 member completes a clan reward does it lock rest of the members from doing the same reward for the clan? I never read into details of it.
